I much prefer the National to Vamp Weekend, but there's no way the come close to the popularity of Vamp Weekend right now

They were booked before that mostly.
Maybe National/Pavement, LCD Soundsystem/Massive Attack and...??? MMJ?

Good sub-headliner/under card. Headliners are kind of weak honestly, but the undercard rocks so far.

with Vampire Weekend, it doesn't really come down to how hyped their album is. They have released two 30 minute albums and a single or two. They would literally have to play every track they have to fill a typical headline time slot.

Headliners are Pavement, MMJ, and Massive Attack, with primary subheadliners of Ween, LCD, Vampire Weekend, Broken Social Scene, Public Enemy, MGMT, and the National. Pretty solid list right there. I'm not buying tickets tonight, but it looks good. I wish the Lips were doing DSOTM. That would be the cherry on top.

the way it was announced they announce my morning jacket, massive attack, and ween all together. I think that means that those are the three headliners with ween headlining on monday (when it is always weaker)

I think what he's saying is that they had em on a screen (apparently) and that they'll have more to show on the poster/the site. I wouldn't expect more than that in terms of bands, although it would be awesome.

Maybe they wanted to keep this a regional event, so they didn't go after the huge star power, so it feels more like a regional fest, instead of a national one..

Is the only comedian on this Rob Riggle? Unless you count the Garfunkel & Oates. Does this mean other Daily Show guys are coming - Wyatt Cenac, etc. Also, I think that there are going to be alot more good comedians on the line-up
Also, who are the dance tent acts: Z-trip Simian Mobile Disco A-Track DeadMau5 Booka Shade Boys Noize Neon Indian Yacht
Thats alot more dance acts than last year. Not to mention Massive Attack and LCD but they will be on the main stage.

it is a hard lineup to judge at a quick glance. If Massive Attack, MMJ and Ween are really the headliners, you could make the argument that the group is incredibly week. however, it is a very deep lineup with lots of buzz bands. A little underwhelming at first glance, though.

I couldn't be more pumped. LCD, National, New Porns, Hold Steady, and Broken Social Scene are massive for me.
