I think I missed my only chance to see Sigur Ros. :'( I hope not.

Spoon? Boring.

The only one on that list that I'd be really excited for is RJD2.

I will sacrifice children to make sure that Smashing Pumpkins don't come to ruin my Sasquatch 2010! 8-)

Had no idea Bloc Party was on hiatus. Looks like they're out.

I think Monotonix isn't allowed back, and I certainly don't expect them two years in a row, but really I'm just looking for an excuse to post this: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2010/01/monotonix_singe.html

Not literally, but I just assume that they're going to tour until they are banned from every club in the world. Really, just an excuse to post that.

Looks like Monotonix remains a possibility:

01-29 Charlotte, NC - Snug Harbor
01-30 Asheville, NC - Rocket Club
03-03 Sydney, Australia - Annandale Hotel
03-04 Melbourne, Australia - Ding Dong Lounge
03-05 Geelong, Australia - The National Hotel
03-06 Meredith, Australia - Golden Plains Festival
03-07 Crossing, Australia - Lost Weekend Festival
04-13 Carborro, NC - Cat's Cradle *
04-14 Brooklyn, NY - Brooklyn Bowl &^
04-15 Portland, ME - The Space
04-16 Providence, RI - TBA
04-17 Akron, OH - Musica
04-18 Buffalo, NY - Mohawk Place
04-19 Chicago, IL - Schubas
05-14 Minehead, England - ATP Festival

Still not likely, you know, because they played last year -- but don't write them off...

King Khan & the Shrines is playing Seattle and Van in April. Looks like a return visit is unlikely. Too bad, they put a great show on last year. But I will no doubt see them in Van anyways.

Summercamp festival is a jam band festival taking place in Illinois the same weekend as Sasquatch. Here is their initial lineup:

The Avett Brothers, Backyard Tire Fire, Bassnectar, Brainchild, Chicago Farmer, Cornmeal, Dangermuffin, EOTO, Family Groove Company, Gov’t Mule, The Hood Internet, Keller Williams, Kinetix, The Macpodz, moe., The Ragbirds, STS9, That 1 Guy, Umphrey’s McGee, Yonder Mountain String Band

Although they pander to different musical tastes, their is a little crossover of bands... Typically, bands will not make it to both festivals (however I believe Girl Talk did last year). You can therefore more than likely count out these aforementioned bands.

However, I find it's also important to see that certain crossover bands like MMJ and the Flaming Lips did not sign up for Summer Camp, thus keeping their weekend available for a particular NW festival.

Scratch out Yeasayer and Sleigh Bells (dammit), they're playing something called "Neumos" in April.

Dammit, Primavera strikes again. Unless that mythical flight is getting filled up a ton, it looks like it'll be unlikely to see Grizzly Bear, Built to Spill, Tortoise, Major Lazer, Condo Fucks, Seefeel, BEAK>, and Monotonix as they are playing Primavera. Damn, I might have to fly to Spain instead.

Maybe some of the bands that we were expecting to play at Sasquatch will play during the first day or two of Primavera. I certainly hope so because I thought for sure that Built to Spill would be there!

Agreed. I think Built to Spill was the band that I was most bummed was going to Primavera and diminishing chances of a Sasquatch appearance.

Most of these new Primavera bands (BtS, Monotonix, Grizzly Bear) have played Sasquatch in the last two years. Although I love Built to Spill and want to see them every day for the rest of my life, this shouldn't come as a major shock or disappointment to anyone.
