Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I know this is supposed to be a happy thread. But Yeasayer is playing Seattle on April 20th. I'd say that makes them pretty unlikely. But you never know. Obviously you can still go see them at one of their club shows, as you should. Yeasayer is an amazing band

I think your right . When I saw their tour dates I felt like I had simultaneously gotten kicked in the nuts and punched in the heart. But life goes on!

they could also still play sasquatch, its not uncommon. but seeing them in a smaller venue (nuemoes) I think is a far more enjoyable experiance

Neon Indian is confirmed according to their booking agency. So shamil, you got that going for you. Nice list by the way - Nightmares on Wax would be awesome.

Don't think many of these would be true headliners... but I don't usually go to Sasquatch to see the headliners anyway. I'd love it if even half of these showed up:
Belle and Sebastian - working on new album in 2010? Sigur Ros Arcade Fire Bats For Lashes Broken Social Scene Pixies Band of Horses Battles The National The Magnetic Fields The Helio Sequence The Thermals Wolf Parade MGMT Elbow Yo La Tengo Wolfmother Do Make Say Think Tortoise Pelican Spoon Yeasayer Boston Spaceships The Aliens Film School Truckasaurus Porcupine Tree School of Seven Bells - they can come back to Sasquacth anytime! Grizzly Bear The Wrens Andrew Bird Star Death and White Dwarfs The Purrs Matmos
* = they can come back to Sasquacth anytime!
Maybe a few bands could reunite for Sasquatch: Electrelane The Smiths My Bloody Valentine Chavez

Even though I love them I'm surprised that you would want Modest Mouse to headline... I've seen them twice and both times they were so fucked up they couldn't play or sing... it was rather unfortunate actually...

Hey don't sweat, I used to post completely fucking idiotic shit on message boards when I was a 14-year-old girl too. It happens. Don't be embarrassed, this happens on occasion. One day you won't be a complete god damn moron, though, and then you won't feel compelled to post inane bullshit like this. In the meantime, there are a few exercises you can work on to avoid posting something this humiliating anytime soon:
-hit yourself in the face with a hammer -continue spending all your time at Jonas Brothers concerts instead of trying to engage in conversation on the computer -heading back to the mall to buy a Rihanna poster -placing your hands on the highway so cars will run over them and I won't have to read something this awful again
Just a few to consider.

I'm completely with I8 here. He started this thread to invite wishlists, so you have zero room to bash his picks (especially including your track record from what I've seen so far) but if we're going to be serious about these decisions, Modest Mouse is one of this generation's greatest bands. I don't know which show(s) you went to, but Modest Mouse has played some of the most energetic, entertaining sets I've ever beheld.
I would love to see them play a headlining set. Realistic? Perhaps not. But on my wishlist as well? Hell yes. By the way, nice pick of Stars, I8 - another good wishlist choice.

I go every year, so I'm not much of a wish list guy. But since the discussion turned to Modest Mouse, and how great or terrible they are live, I'll offer my two cents, since I've seen them nine times.
I read more about this band being hit or miss than any other. As far as I know, Mr. Brock use to be a heavy boozer, and as talented as the rest of the band is, he is the show. I've seen him sober and bored, and it sucked, I've seen him too wasted, and it sucked, and I've seen him really drunk, and it was great. I've also seen him recently sober, and it was outstanding.
It's like playing pool, people are terrible when they are sober, terrible wasted, but seem to do well when they are just drunk. Then imagine if you made an effort to get good at pool while sober, and how good you would be. That is Modest Mouse now, and I would love to see them at Sasquatch.

In the interest of fairness, I have to admit that this is pretty accurate.

In no particular order, I'd like to see these people/groups included:
Andrew Bird--the perfect artist for Sasquatch--amazing music that's complex but hooky and accessible, does not fit into any genre, utterly original. Get A.B. and I'm over the moon, regardless of the rest of the lineup.
Ozomatli--they killed it a couple years ago, great music for the venue.
Manu Chao--ok, he played right after Ozomatli, but this is my list, and I want more Manu Chao.
Morrisey--never seen him, would make a great headliner.
KT Tunstall--maybe too poppy/mainstream for some at squatch, but I think she's great
David Gray
Ed Sharp and the magnetic zeros
Flight of the Conchords--sue me, I love them
Iron & Wine--full band or solo, brilliant.
Jose Gonzales
School of Seven Bells--missed them last year.
Sky Cries Mary--local geniuses, legends locally
