Why do Americans look at me so funny when I ask for the washroom or the bathroom? I know you don't bath in a public toilet area, but you don't rest either!
I assure you it is only when you say washroom as that is not common here. Also, bath is not a verb so you don't do it anywhere.

Sorry, that wasn't very clear. That was my attempt to write out the Alphabet song phonetically, to differentiate between the American "zee" and the Canadian "zed".
And yes, you're quite right. You don't bathe* in a public toilet area, but you do wash in one

This is worth seeing for many reasons, two being:
1) Dharohar project has a fan base of three times larger than anyone else at Sasquatch this year and it is nice to see them help those Mumford boys out with some stage time.
2) Marcus Mumford really loves his work and you can tell. One of the best things about that band live is seeing how much they enjoy playing their songs.

Akron/Family performances are seriously magical. I don't know what it is, but it's something.
Shovels and Rope are people I know from Charleston. Friends may be a strong word, as I've really only conversed with them twice, and played with them twice. I feel like all of my friends are friends with them though, and one of my bandmates plays with them all the time. The Charleston music scene is tiny and we're all friends, and Shovels and Rope has been somewhat of the representative triumph of Charleston, and a good example of what most Charleston bands are like. They're not as much what I'm usually into, but I love them for what they are.

OH and here's Lump's yearly roundup of comedians I like that you should like too:
Mike Birbiglia Brett Gelman Jenny Slate Jon Daly James Adomian
?Nick Offerman? I've only heard him on comedy podcasts, and there was never a mention of him having a standup career, so it must be a new thing. However, listening to him on these podcasts, he's such an inherently funny person that I have to imagine his standup would have to be entertaining.

I'm not going to tell you about Sigur Ros. I'm going to show you about Sigur Ros. Watch from the 10 minute mark onward, and if you are still undecided about watching THAT at the fucking GORGE, then god help you.
...and don't watch the 15 seconds and then turn it off. Allow the crescendo to build and build and build and then explode into that wall of sound that knocks you on your ass. I'll say again, WATCH FROM THE 10 MINUTE MARK UNTIL THE END OF THE VIDEO YOU ASSHOLES.
