This is going to sound terrible, but I enjoy banjo and mandolin solos when I've ingested a lot of my wizard tinctures and potions, so I kind of enjoy Mumford and Sons if they just stood onstage and picked for their set so I could create my own narrative to their notes.

I'm so fucking glad that I get to be the one who is flipping his shit and everyone else is the one that has to eat it because there's no fucking Whatever, Inc. on the lineup.

There is no eating it. I'm happy as piss. The electro-pop turnout is phenomenal this year. DANCE SO HARDER

Unfortunately it looks like Mumford got top billing so they'll probably be Saturday's headliner. I was hoping if they were announced that they'd either be Friday or Monday so I could show up late or leave early. Now those first and last spots will likely be taken up by two other headliners that I actually want to see.

Also: with Goldbeard on this one. Totally ambivalent towards Mumford & Sons, but I got a kick out of Of Monsters and Men and although I basically can't tell the difference between them and M&S I'm sure I'll get fifteen minutes of enjoyment out of them. Mumford, Vampire Weekend, Postal Service, and Sigur Ros is definitely more appealing than basically anything that we've seen in years. Not to mention the best undercard this side of Primavera.

I'm really hoping that Primus plays on Monday, because if I know me at a Primus show there literally won't be anything whatsoever left afterwards.

I am kind of disappointed in the lack of live electronic acts, like Beardyman last year, or Massive Attack or Simian Mobile Disco.

I will definitely check out Presets, Matthew Dear and T.E.E.T.

Also wish there was at least 1 big comedy act. Some good names in there but they're all small time.

I like to believe Primus continually plays in 4 dimensions, in that they are the music of the universe, much like the Music of Arda formed Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately some dick named Melkor probably tried interrupting Les Claypool when he was switching his bass and was like NAH DUDE IMMA DO MY THING and that's why we have evil in this world.

Banjos and mandolins and anythimg thats folky and bluegrassy and upbeat makes me feel human for a second. My guilty pleasure.
