The best part is that he's so confident about The Knife that he included them.

I wanted to put Sigur Ros as a co-headliner deal like the Flaming Lips in 2011, but I Dr. Garbanzoured that wouldn't be an option.

Mine's a work in progress anyway, so it will likely change.

Just a heads up for anyone who actually thinks Daft Punk has a chance at ending up on the lineup. From the LA Times:

Quote:
Worth noting: although Daft Punk's name was not on the recently revealed Coachella lineup, an insider says the group was offered a "gigantic sum of money" to headline the California festival but ultimately turned it down.

I'm sorry, but fuck Daft Punk. They were great in their time, but a total pipe dream for anyone that thinks they'll turn up on a summer festival. It's time to le sleeping dogs lie.

Bjorrito...the last time I saw Iggy and the Stooges play a festival (2007) they were four bands and two stages away from the headliner. As shitty as it seems, they are no longer headlining material. It's all about ticket sales, and washboards and fiddles beat out shirtless and awesome.

Last time I saw Iggy at a festival it was Bumbershoot '05 and he didn't even fill half the stadium.

Seriously. Thank you.

Daft Punk knows they're never going to change live music the way they did with their pyramid, and they're plenty smart enough not to try and fail.

Daft Punk was simply just the first time that Radiohead Coachella kids found out that being festival destroyed works just as well with beats and flashy lights. Go Dr. Garbanzoure, dudes... NOW PLEASE TALK ABOUT IT FOREVER LIKE YOU JUST UNEARTHED ELECTRO MUSIC YOURSELVES!!!!
