I know that GabFrab confirmed The XX via his e-mails, but their tour dates pretty much solidify that. They are playing Vancouver on May 24 and then nothing until May 29.

As much as I enjoyed Contra, I'm ambivalent to them playing Sasquatch. They're an act I'd like to see, but at the same time, if there's somebody else I even remotely enjoy playing at the same time, it would not be a difficult show for me to skip.

I felt that way in 2010 - when I had still yet to see them - but stuck around for their set only because I was determined to get right up in the front for My Morning Jacket. Man, that was a good choice. One of the weekend's best shows IMO.

Vampire Weekend killed it in 2010! Wasn't a huge fan at all before seeing them but we were waiting for MMJ and decided to watch 'em. So fun, so tight, so energetic! Even the auto chune on "California English" kicked ass. Ezra Pound (or whatever it is) was boppin' like a crazed 50's rocker the whole time. Loved them.
