In that case, they could definitely headline the Sasquatch stage. Jack White played WAMU after Sasquatch last year. I'm gonna guess they won't headline though, you're exactly right that the majority of the crowd wouldn't be into them. That just makes me think again they'd be Bigfoot headliners.

Nah, you don't pay that much money for a band to play the Bigfoot. They just wouldn't book them if they're not willing have them subheadline at a minimum.

I'm still amazed Pheonix are headlining Saturday night at Coachella by themselves. I knew they were popular but really...that popular?

Unless they bill someone bigger when they can find someone bigger...and available. Isn't that what happened with Prince a few years ago?

However, if people think that the Postal Service can headline Sasquatch, Pheonix definitely can....I can't see Pheonix being any less a draw than Bon Iver

Dude, but everybody knows who Bon Iver is. Those albums blew up like crazy. Phoenix... less so.

I'm not positive that I've ever heard a Bon Iver song on the radio but they STILL play 1901 and Listomania. Those songs were massive.

Really? Granted, I don't listen to the radio much, but I don't think I've ever really heard any buzz about Phoenix with the exception of DLC for Rock Band. But even my girlfriend's mother listens to Bon Iver. Which is saying something, I guess. I don't know.

There's definitely different ways to build buzz but the radio remains an embarrassingly powerful tool for bands to gain popularity.

I have a 2 hour long program on Saturdays for my college station which is about as much exposure as I really get to radio. And since we're a college station all the music is like "The Flip Flops - Bananapanorama" and "SPRCLSPRXPLDR - Mandatory Robot Arms". I always make an attempt to throw on some Bon Iver, but it's usually off of the remix album that they released for spotify (which was really cool).

I used SNL presence as the basis for my conclusion.

I know this doesn't rule them out, but I think it certainly makes them less likely: My Bloody Valentine, Band of Horses, and Hot Chip all play Primavera on Saturday. I wouldn't expect MBV or Hot Chip to be there anyway, but take that information as you will.

Haven't we been over that enough?

We're getting about 8 bands from Primavera, and that is coming straight from the big man himself.

Not God, Snacks.

Have we gone over who's playing Primavera that is confirmed/rumored for Sasquatch?

Disclosure, Solange(?), The Postal Service(?), DIIV, The Knife(?)

That makes 5, any predictions on the other 3?

In my dream world it'd be Four Tet, James Blake and John Talabot. I honestly can't make a solid guess on what it will be realistically.

I still have this gut feeling that Hot Chip will be on the lineup.

I would see the shit out of Wu Tang if it was all of them together, they've toured to Portland without Gza or Rza and I've skipped it because of that.

I saw Hot Chip for the first time a few months back in Portland, the sound was really poorly mixed and I could hardly hear the vocals. Despite those issues, they put on a great show though.
