I do not care for the Strokes. I think they are boring.

I've got a soft spot for the Strokes. I love Julian Casablancas' voice, and Albert Hammond Jr. creates the stickiest damn riffs and hooks. I think that if the Strokes were as committed to writing good songs and being a good band as, say, Animal Collective, they would be that rare combination of super-successful both commercially and critically. I think of them as America's Oasis - so much potential, but in the end they're sort of douchebags and so they'll never be as great as they could be.

No. The only time I can remotely enjoy The Strokes is when I'm watching a Michel Gondry music video.

Am I the only one who thinks She & Him is boring as fuck? God damn, that set in 2010? Zooey Deschannel looked SO uncomfortable (I get it, it's her "thing" to pretend to be sheepish/awkward/cute, I just don't get why other people find that endearing). She also looked like she might faint at any moment from malnutrition, I was seriously concerned that if the wind kicked up she would have been blown into the gorge. At least that would have been interesting.

EDIT: Oh, I see, this conversation already happened over in the Rumors thread.

I think they would be great at a small venue. But out in the open Zooey just fades away. Her singing does not hold up to ..ohh look, there’s grass under my toes... I mean she can’t hold your focus when ... hmmm that breeze is nice, I wonder who is playing on that other stage….

Zooey had the classic "deer in the headlights" look their entire set at Sasquatch, I couldn't Dr. Garbanzoure out if she was intimidated by the size of the crowd or what. Looked like she was shaking from nerves. I didn't find their set to be memorable at all. Their tour is supposedly starting in June, which would hint that they're not going to be at Sasquatch. No loss if they aren't.

The Knife look to be possibly headlining Bestival. Good news that they are doing another festival, but still no indication if North America's in the mix.

Sasquatch is around the same time and therefore they could be at Sasquatch?
