yea and that is saying ALOT
i live in montana and on the road trip to sasq! was listening and loving michael franti but since the set he played last year i haven't turned his chunes on once. the only possible thing that made it bearable to get through was a whole hell of a lot of drugs and excitement for the next act i imagine much like most felt for ben harper (*sigh*) waiting for FLAMING FUCKING LIPS but on a positive note hes the last act of the last day =) so no real reason to stay

Haha, Trentcee, I agree. That is one good thing about that. But you don't agree that Ben Harper < Michael Franti ?

I'm really disappointed with the selection of Ben Harper for the final act of the whole festival. We need one savior band/act for Monday to cap it all off...Radiohead or Pearl Jam, anyone?

not just ben harper, erykah badu opening for him. i have a feeling a lot of people will be heading home early on monday unless they announce a good headliner.

i totally agree , those two are the most boring acts to close a festival, Im not saying theyre not talented , just a bit of a snooze fest for me. People keep mentioning Pearl Jam , I know theyre working on a new album , but are they really a possibility or is that just wishful thinking?

yeah, I have to agree that Monday is definately the most dissapointing day of the whole festival. Saturday is packed from top to bottom, Sunday is looking pretty good, too, but there is a definite drop-off in quality on Monday.
The band I am looking forward to right now on Monday is Golgol Bordello. From what I've heard, they're downright awesome!

Gogol Bordello, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, EITS are all good draws for the Monday... but I agree, closing out the festival with Erykah Badu and Ben Harper (who's playing new material with a new band) could be extremely disappointing.

I really had my heart set on Pearl Jam this year. A few weeks ago, their "Live at the Gorge" box set was on sale at Circuit City, so I bought it...and I thought that was a really good sign. But, no luck. Maybe next year?
I'm glad someone started this discussion, because now we can write about our disappointment, and then get over it...because Sasquatch is a blast no matter what! And seriously, JANE'S ADDICTION? It never even crossed my mind. That was a pleasant surprise for me.
For now, I'm just going to be happy with what they're giving us, which is an awesome weekend full of good shows, beautiful scenery and awesome people!

Ben Harper is my disappointment. I keep hoping they'll add a diffferent headliner to close out the festival but I'm sure it's highly unlikely. I guess I'll get to bed early on Monday night if I go!

I actually enjoyed Ben Harper's set two years ago, but gotta agree that he's not the way to end the whole weekend. Headliners are certainly weak, but the addition of a dance tent and AWESOME middle-of-the-pack bands more than make up for it. I have a feeling there's at least one big addition left. Jane's Addiction and NIN coheadlining on one night?? That's huge. KOL one night and Ben Harper the other...that's not up to Sasquatch standards. We're in for a surprise...
