Let's hope they can impress as much (at least half) as Jack White did.

I'd be happy with half as good. Jack White was awesome.

Here are recaps of their SNL performances: http://consequenceofsound.net/2012/03/video-the-shins-play-saturday-night-live/

I can't say I'm too thrilled... Particularly with what I've heard off the new album so far.

I only saw them do "Simple Song" and I thought they were pretty good. I've never seen them before, so while they aren't high up on my list, their performance last night didn't knock them down at all.

That just made me think that The Shins might be better off headlining the comedy tent. "Fore...Twenty" = perfection.

I keep hearing this, but considering that is the same reaction everyone had to Wincing the Night Away I am taking it with a grain of salt. I've only heard 'Simple Song' so far but I thought it was rad.

I like Simple Song a lot, and if the rest of the album is of similar quality then it'll be great.

On the first listen of the new album... I think the first few songs are fantastic. The rest is just kinda meh. I'll have to listen to it a few more times before it clicks.

I'm not buying into this poppycock. Is the album still streaming somewhere?

It's streaming everywhere. 94/7 is playing the album in it's entirety tonight at 8 as well.
