My favorite Shins song is 'Sphagnum Esplanade', which was a b-side on the 'Know Your Onion!' single. It's got a Simon & Garfunkel quality to it. I just love it.

The last little tour they did, I saw it on nearly every setlist (including the one I missed at the Doug Fir cuz I was at the Eels show instead). I really hope they're still playing it by the time they get to Sasquatch.

I also really love 'Saint Simon', 'Australia', 'Sea Legs' and 'Mine's Not a High Horse'.

Young Pilgrims and Saint Simon did a good job of helpin' me get over a break up, so they be holdin' a special place in my heart.

Young Pilgrims and Sea Legs are my two favorites. The new songs they put out are sounding pretty good so I can't wait for the album.

Their new song 'Simple Song' is pretty promising for the new album coming out.

New Slang has been my favorite Shins song from the moment I heard it. And this was way before Garden State, guys.

I feel like watching the scrubs should totally invalidate all of my old feelings for the garden state soundtrack. But I just can't make it. It's still a regular play, even the shins. It's amazing how zach braff had such an influence on my generation, eh?

What's amazing is that he did for like five minutes and then became totally irrelevant.

For me, the Garden State soundtrack was incredible when it first came out. It still does kinda hold up today. As for Garden State the movie, I've always felt it was just a wannabe The Graduate and not much more than that.
