I've been thinking about Ben Harper as a possibility too. I didn't post anything about it because I really hope it isn't true. I enjoyed him in '06, but once is enough. And he hasn't put out any decent music since then.
I'd say Ben Harper is more likely than Beastie Boys. Either way I'll probably be in the dance tent that night.

No Doubt and Ben Harper?
This isn't the dealbreaker thread.
And it's pretty safe to say that Felix guy is full of it.

Don't worry No Doubt will be safely in Canada.

Ben harper is also MUCH better than the beastie boys as far as live performers go. the boys r ok. ben is an amazing showman Id rather see him with the innocent criminals though.

we have to remember, That although there have been a lot of repeat acts at sasquatch, There has not been a repeat headliner.
so maybe this year will continue the trend.
who knows, maybe we will get someone we never in a million years expected.

^^^ this is very true. Though I sometimes forget the Lips technically didn't headline in 2006. Now that I think about it, there's no way they'd have Ben Harper and NIN both headline again three years later. I'd say maybe one repeat headliner, but no way there are 2 repeats.

There are a lot of festivals out there you can't expect people to show up for a bunch of repeat headliners or other festival headliners.
There will be a shocker like Portishead, Daft Punk, Radiohead, Pearl Jam or another major act who has signed on exclusively with sasquatch as its only north american headlining spot.

As was mentioned earlier, I am starting to believe certain bands might be too big for Sasquatch. When Radioheadines a festival, it is usually to an enormous crowd and in warm weather. I am not sure they would commit to Sasquatch. Best case scenario, they get great weather, and play to 20,000. It is more likely the wind blowing ruins their stage set up, they are all cold, and walk off the stage.
I can't imagine bands who have played the Gorge would dislike a return. It is probably the best music venue in the country. This is why I believe return headliners are more likely. Why not come back? You had a blast the first time, so did we.

I'm choosing to believe this will be a My Bloody Valentine or a Portishead - type band, rather than ( ) No Doubt. Sasquatch wouldn't do us like that.

I'm starting to think MBV is more and more likely. Though they are playing Primavera, they will probably headline the last day, which gives them lots of time to make a Sasquatch appearance. I still don't believe that guy though...

This is probably nothing, but the White Stripes are playing Conan on February 20th for his last ever show on Late Night (before he takes over The Tonight Show). Perhaps they might be interested in embarking on a tour after that if Meg is ok to play? Perhaps a one off Sasquatch headlining spot? Yeah I know this is purely speculation and wishful thinking, but a boy can dream can't he?
At the very least, now you can chune in for what I'm sure will be a great tv performance. http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/ne....last-late-night

I'm right there with you man. I know its a stretch but thats a band that gets me to the gorge in a heart beat!
Then again I'd be happy with seeing any of these bands being mentioned headline, except of course Kings of Leon. I'm not sure why but they're just one of those bands i can't get into.
I'm not sure if it's been covered thus far but are the Shins a possibility this year?

That's a good question. They're due for a new record, anyone heard anything on that front? Seems like their website's down...
Huh. Maybe James Mercer solo?
