Beck has had some of the most elaborate stage setups that I have ever seen, and I've seen some pretty crazy shit.

Beck is my most anticipated show of the weekend because I've loved him since Mellow Gold, have never seen him before and I have absolutely no idea what to expect. I think it's going to be great.

Beirut looked like a very stripped down stage setup from the coachella webcast. I wasn't too impressed.

When we saw them at Sasquatch all it was was the band standing in a row together. It was beautiful and wonderful and they sounded stellar. I am really excited to see them again.

They were a complete unknown to me in 2008 and ended up being one of my best memories of that weekend. I've deliberately not listened to any of the other bands in Beirut's timeslot because I'm refusing to miss them. Right after their set it'll be a sprint up to the tent for James Murphy.

Any advice on the Beirut vs. Zola Jesus conflicts for those that have seen them live?

I just saw Beirut and I'm going with Beirut. Probably will catch the first 20 minutes of Zola and then make a dash for the pit. One of few dashes I will be making; I don't like to dash.

I'm no dasher either but I'll probably be sprinting alongside you here. I've been into ZJ longer than I've known about Beirut but the belt sander's live show is so widely acclaimed (videos reinforce this) I feel compelled to catch more of their set.

Also, I'm not so sure Zola's sound will benefit from the meagre audio setup of the Yeti.

Who do y'all recommend for the 5-6 timeslot on Sunday? Tycho or Active Child? M.Ward gives me COMAS and I'm really not feeling Deer Tick. Or maybe this should be hill nap time?

I would go with Tycho. Active Child was weird live. Not in a good way. Plus they're on the Yeti and pretty much fuck that stage.

Yah fuck the Yeti ferreals. I think I've caught one act on the Yeti in the last five years (Das Racist).

I've seen Active Child twice now and I think the quality of their shows is directly proportional to the power of the sound system. I'm not convinced the Yeti is going to work well for them.

Deer Tick on record has never done anything for me but I've always kept it in the back of my mind to see them because of this performance

Opening half of Deer Tick, into opening of Tycho into closing of Active Child or vice versa. That's my plan at that spot.

Tycho for sure. When I saw Active Child live they were no bueno.

Opening Deer Tick into Tycho would be my choice.

Why can't Beck just start at 10:30? This is stupid. I hate Sasquatch.

I find it pretty surprising that Beck is on at 10pm on Monday, I'm pretty sure that's later than past Monday night headliner slots. There's a good chance he'll play until midnight. Pretty much requires everyone to take Tuesday off if they want to see his whole set, but personally I take three days off after Sasquatch to recover, so it doesn't affect me at all.

I would quit my job if they asked me to work on Tuesday.
