Hey Stingray, you know Mogwai is playing Vancouver Tuesday night, right? You will probably be too tired to make it to the Commodore by 9pm the day after Sasquatch, but it's an option.

Wow! That seals the deal for me right there on making sure to check out Mogwai. I will probably go to all of that set and then catch the end of Beck.

Normally I'd give you shit about completely disregarding my opinion, but as far as I can tell our respective tastes don't overlap AT ALL so you're probably better off listening to Burrito.

You'll still be missing Beck and I can't fix that, but to each his own.

We can see an hour of Mogwai, followed by an hour of Beck, after an Hour of Tenacious D. Win/win/win mothafuckas.

Shiiiiiit you're right; for some reason I had it in my head that they were playing Saturday or something. Although the prospect of transporting the lifeless pile of flesh that is my post-Squatch body anywhere besides a warm bed Tuesday night is very unappealing, that may turn out to be the best option. Especially since the likelihood of Beck touring again is pretty slim.

But Burrito makes a good point. And am I ever going to be able to see Mogwai at the Gorge...?

ah fuck it. It'll be a gametime decision. Thanks for the input fellas.

Any advice on the Beirut vs. Zola Jesus conflicts for those that have seen them live?

There's no one on the lineup that I'd miss Beck for, especially after he blew my mind at Bumbershoot four years ago. Who knows when the next time he'll come through the area will be. He's had quite the career and it might be winding down. I couldn't live with myself knowing that I might have missed his last performance in the northwest.

I just saw Beirut and I'm going with Beirut. Probably will catch the first 20 minutes of Zola and then make a dash for the pit. One of few dashes I will be making; I don't like to dash.

Beirut looked like a very stripped down stage setup from the coachella webcast. I wasn't too impressed.

And dudes, Beck's career is not 'winding down'. He's like forty years old. He is at a mid-point. Neil Young had his, Dylan had his, Paul Simon had his.

Fifteen years from now he will have a resurgence and tickets will be a hundred and fifty fucking dollars and you will be sad. He is one of the greats, one of the fucking kings . Don't sell him short.

This X1000. People talk about Beck like he's days away from dying in his sleep. He's still a reasonably young dude.
