Girl Talk is your number one but you're only seeing Pretty Lights because of the hype?

Girl Talk is a proven veteran. What do we even know about this Pretty Lights kid anyhow?

Come on now. This board needs to stop pretending that the U2s and Paul McCartneys of the world have been opening for Pretty Lights for the past two decades. He's a middle-tier EDM artist that just happened to get the break of a lifetime at Sasquatch because they didn't feel like shelling out the cash for an expensive headliner.

Except that Snacks probably got swindled into still shelling out the cash. Anyone who thought it wise to "master mind" the cake thing from last year is probably also very bad at EVERYTHING.

I wasn't trying to imply that at all, I was just surprised to see GT as a #1 with little interest or knowledge of PL. Didn't mean to come off arrogant, I was genuinely curious. And I am not lumping PL in with the greatest artists of all time, but I think it's quite fair to say GT and PL are in the same realm?

Yay for abbreviations.

Ehhh I really don't think so. Girl Talk is his own little entity in the world of music. I know plenty of EDM fans that despise Girl Talk, and plenty of Girl Talk fans that couldn't care less about EDM. Not implying that that is the standard, but aside from using a computer, there really isn't anything electronic about Girl Talk.
