Yeah, now you don't have to be the married guy dancing alone.

I, however, am going to continue with my strict Robyn-esque dancing on my own policy. *eats a banana*

Changing daily, but right now:

1. The D
2. Mogwai (would be #1 if I hadn't already seen them with Lucy)
3. Cass McCombs
4. Beirut
5. Spiritualized
6. Cloud Cult
7. chune-yards
8. Pretty Lights
9. Todd Barry w/Lumpy
10. Explosions in the Sky - I've seen them 8 times and they're still on my top 10 out of 35 or so acts I'm excited to see at this festival. Absolutely cathartic show. It will change the way you live. NOT TO BE MISSED BY ANYONE, EVER. Amen.

I could list at least 30 bands I want to see, but trying to narrow it down to 10 would give me something like this, in order:

1. Beck
2. Tenacious D
3. Jack White
4. The Roots
5. The Shins
6. Metric
7. Silversun Pickups
8. Feist
9. The Joy Formidable
10. Pretty Lights

Top 10 things gleaned from the first 24 hours of the Top 10 thread

1. People like making lists.

2. A surprising number of folks want the D. Did not think The D would have this type of pull.

3. Weenie has commitment issues (her words not mine).

4. Active Child needs more parachutes, is great or awful live either last spring or when opening for M83.

5. Donald Glover > Childish Gambino unless you're Geno.

6. Ithaca can't follow rules. Even the arbitrary ones. However, Ithaca would second danl46's proposed amendment to list threads in reverse sequential order.

7. Best way to get someone to venture out and make their first post is to ask for a list. See #1: People like making lists.

8. Pea is all in on WG. Pea is not all in on beating dead horses (gleaned from another thread).

9. NW Hip-Hop is dead and the 10 or so artists scheduled to appear on the Maine Stage don't even know it.

10. Switch will not dance alone and grown men will cry.
