I've seen the White Stripes quite a few times, but none of it compared to the times I saw Jack with the Raconteurs. This is why I cannot wait to see him with a full band again.

Side Note: The girl fiddle player, Ella-May, is from a band called Jypsi which is an act my friends and I have been seing for years everytime we go to Nashville. We've all hung out (they are a family band of incredibly talanted and attractive people. Their brother is unreal on guitar) and have shared drinks at Layla's Bluegrass Inn together on more than a few occaisions.

PROOF!

One of the things I am hoping for with Jack is that he brings some awesome merch with him to sell. A couple of limited edition 45's might be nice.

I would buy that dude's sweat if it was sold in viles.

45's? As in old man records 45's. I can't believe people actually buy those still. Would his music even be available on records? I had always assumed Jack White was relatively young and new.

Fuck yeah his music is still available on vinyl and 45's. The majority of the stuff he releases is vinyl. Check out these items and his store.

I heard on the radio that when Jack was young he worked at a store that re-covers old furniture. He had a band and pressed a small amount of their albums on vinyl and hid them in the fabric of couches. The ultra crazy thing is that it was clear vinyl, so even if you x-ray the furniture you can't see it. You literally have to rip the seams and stick your hand in there to find it. All this before he was even remotely popular. It's like he knew he was going to be famous and these things would be worth a ton of money some day.

I'm not quite sure you understand how Xrays work there davers... but I have heard about the furniture thing, it's pretty cool. I would be cool just to have a couch made by Jack White, let alone finding some hidden record.

There is a major part in It Might Get Loud where they show his early life in the upholstery business, but they never mention the fact that he hid CD's in the furniture. I have heard that rumour before as well, but the secrecy of it all just adds to his mystique.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about them being invisible to xrays, but that's what it said he said in the interview. And in this article:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/apr/13/jack-white-solo-project-blunderbuss

(9th paragraph).

Either way I don't think someone would be crazy enough to get their couch xrayed so it probably doesn't make a difference.

Oh I wasn't meaning to call you out Davers. Jack White was just trying to make it sound cool and mysterious I bet. The fact that something is clear or transparent has absolutely no effect on an Xray. Xrays pick up densities of objects, and are not effected by opaque objects. That's why clear oxygen tubing shows up on chest xrays.

For example this guy shoved a clear pint glass up his ass, you can definitely see it...even if you didn't want to:

1) I don't really want to know how you found that picture
2) Who wants to go to thrift shops in and around Detroit with some scissors/knives and find one of these records?

Haha my mom is an X-Ray/MRI tech, and I'm going into respiratory therapy and will have to read X-rays...but I just straight up googled that haha.

And regarding looking for the furniture, some of his early records with the White Stripes sell for $20,000, I think that a piece of furniture that Jack White built with a 100 copy limited edition vinyl will go for a bit more. Plus I really need a chair for my new place.

It won't go for more than a few bucks unless they know the record is in there though. He said that none of them have been found that he knows of...
