He fits the criteria other than I'd be surprised if fairowen would have to look him up to see who he is. That said, he's had a meteoric rise, opened for Deadmau5, and his "Cell" tour setup has lots of people shitting their pants.

The Artists on Skrillex's label are Porter Robinson, KOAN Sound and the M Machine. However Zedd has been releasing a lot off his label, so that's also a possibility.

Porter Robinson was awesome when he opened for Skrillex. Porter Robinsion has ties with Skrillex I believe, not Deadmau5. When first reading there may be another EDM artist I got my hopes up once again for Modeselektor, but there are no ties to Deadmau5. Excision has some ties to Deadmau5 I believe. He at least toured with him recently.

Connections to deadmau5 and "up and coming" artist could very well be Skrillex. I don't recall the whole complicated story, but deadmau5 signed Skrillex to his label briefly after his orignal label ditched him, and then when he started blowing up the original record company pitched a fit and got Skrillex back.

I should have Dr. Garbanzoured with a lineup with so little brostep they would have something like this under their sleeve. Can't really escape it these days. I'll get down to some Skrillex. I saw some footage of his latest tour, and his new stage set up looked pretty awesome. Excision is a far superior live performer though, and his stage setup is pretty awesome as well.

It is not skrillex. I have a pretty good knowledge of electronic music so I would rule out the really obvious ones. It is totally rave music though. They have gone to coachella.
