This is not the lineup I was hoping for in anyway but... somehow I am very excited about it.

I think Bon Iver is going to be unreal as a headliner in the Gorge setting. That new album is one of those very few intimate themed albums were it is best suited to be played as a big event, on a huge stage, along with a dramatic setting. Really excited about this one. The darkness and stage lights are really going to be especially awesome for this show. I hope they play on Sunday or Saturday, anything but Monday.

Beck is not the headliner I'd have hoped for, but he also wasn't a name I was expecting to see there. If Beck is a headliner, well I'm more than cool with that.

Jack White is going to be great, I might be in the board minority here, but he's always put on incredible shows as a frontman. His new song is terrible as is everything he's done in the past 7 years, but whatevs. we are starving for any rock n' roll on this lineup, I'll take this.

Can't wait to see St. Vincent, Spiritualized, Beirut, Feist, The Shins, The War on Drugs (Gramma and Stormy, this will be our Black Mountain set this year. These guys are so good live.), Pretty Lights (O_O), and Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah will be pretty fun. I'm also going to come out and say that given this lineup I am excited to see Girl Talk as well. I don't like him, but I've seen him 3 times now and they've always been ridiculously insane shows. If he is headlining Friday I think that is a pretty awesome way to kick off the fest.

Hey you might put on a fun set depending on the mood I am in at that current moment in time; Mogwai, chune-Yards, Apparat, Dum Dum Girls, Unkown Mortal Orchestra, The Roots and Tycho.

Seriously dude? I think the undercard is always really excellent, and this year is no exception.

Well if you consider the fact that the undercard starts with the 7th band on the lineup then I guess, sure, it's okay. But really the undercard should constitute at least from the 3rd line down. Snacks got all crazy and started his undercard on the top line. That crazy guy!

SHIT! Judging from all the empty cans and bottles it looks like everyone had a good time last night. One of my boys fell down the stairs so we spent the majority of the night in the ER making sue he was ok. He is.

Dude! Really good to hear your little dude is alright.

Thanks Womp. He's good. Kids fall down all the time. Just had to make sure this fall wouldn't make him dumb or anything.

So I have been mulling over this lineup for the past few hours now and I am super fucking excited. My biggest gripe is the placement of some of the bands. I'm surprised that Ted Leo and Shearwater got shoved onto the Yeti. I thought that Ted would be a big enough draw for the Bigfoot, and Shearwater has such a great sound to them that I hope to God is not lost on the Yeti.

So fucking excited for Beck! I cannot stress that enough.

It just sounds like a lineup that will afford a a fun, energetic atmosphere. There's enough bands thrown in there that I REALLY want to see to make it so that I'm not totally bummed about not getting the bands I was hoping for, and the rest of it just sounds like a party where I can go and space out and enjoy the vibes.

Blacksmile I am glad your little boy is ok.

We will always lament that it is no 2010, but I am still stoked. Beck seems totally out of left field to me, I would have not expected that at all. But I am excited to see him. The one time I did see a Beck show it was really a lot of fun. Bon Iver, The Shins, Beirut all awesome. I am really excited to see Tenacious D and I think that is really cool. Also John C. Riley is exciting as he has a voice of gold and I hope I get to hear any song from Walk Hard. I don't really care about the Roots but if they played 'Datskat' it would be cool.

I am kind of sad that Loud Friday is gone, just because it was fun to get super drunk on Friday so I still had energy the rest of the weekend. I am looking forward to the crazy party, though, it sounds really fun. I am looking forward to Pretty Lights. Girl Talk is dumb but I can imagine it will be a really fun time.

There are some undercards that I think are fun and more I need to check out. As long as Friendly has identified our 2012 Black Mountain set then I am a happy camper!

I don't understand the complaints about the headliners. I have never been a big fan of Jack White, but I know he is a pretty big name. Bigger than The Black Keys, and at least as big as Dre and Snoop. Beck is pretty big too, and who the hell expected Beck? Maybe lacking a huge name like Radiohead, but still pretty good headliners.

Beck's tour with the marionettes and dinner table rockout was excellent and if you saw it at sasquatch it probably blew your mind. But his last tour for Modern Guilt was far from great. The shows were boring and he was phoning in those shows. So pardon me if I'm not stoked on this lineup just because the almighty Beck is there. I have an opinion and it's that this lineup is disappointing. Its quantity over quality this year. So Fuck You DUDE.

Who was it that was saying Spritualized would be a headliner, or maybe a subheadliner? Ha ha ha. They didn't even make it on the main stage

I might have been a bit harsh this morning and for that I apologize, but...

I have yet to see Beck so that is why I said that it's worth the price of the ticket for me. As for your idiotic comment about "failfest"...there's more to the line up than just the headliners and in my opinion, and the boards general opinion as well, this lineup is stellar. So comments like "failfest" are a waste of time. If you're not even going to take the time to justify what you don't like then don't bother posting here or going to the festival.
