It was pretty hilarious. He made it almost all the way down and the crowd started cheering. I think it got scared because he started climbing back up the stage REALLY quickly.

Some way early speculation from me... next year Mumford & Sons will headline a night since they're putting out a new record in September. I don't think it's much of a stretch to say the Flaming Lips will be back out in 2013. The Head and the Heart will also have a new record and have such a big draw at Sasquatch that a headlining slot isn't out of the question, but will they bring them out three years in a row?

If we ever see the Flaming Lips back, which I kind of doubt we will, it will be quite a few years before it happens.
And no. The Head and the Heart won't be back next year either.

Flaming Lips are touring this fall so it is doubtful they will be at sasqu next year.

They toured in fall 2010 before coming to Sasquatch 2011, and these guys are road warriors so I wouldn't ever rule them out until the lineup is released.

I heard from quite a few people this past weekend that the Lips left Sasquatch 2011 on less than good terms with the festival, and it was quite evident by Wayne's demeanor on stage. I promise you we won't see them in 2013.

I could definitely believe that's legit, they didn't even get to play their full album because of that birthday cake bullshit. Wayne is very anal about his shows and likes to do things his way, and how the Sasquatch people forced them into altering their set had to have pissed him off. They tend to come through Seattle at least once a year, so I won't be too heartbroken if they told Snacks to fuck off and don't want to return.

I'm hoping for a new album from The National later this year sometime, which would set them up for a Sasquatch appearance next year. This is based on nothing more than wild optimism though.
