Seriously, RJA. The spin I heard is that SQ09 is looking to sell a few more tickets and diversify like some of the festivals down South. I would be surprised if LP would book this, they don't give the NW much love ever. I did hear they were close with Simple Plan, Yellowcard and Feeder.

Better bring your helmet with you then, ecandle. Think about it and check out the tour sched for each of them. It makes sense and my BA is pretty solid, this is not kneejerk. Feeder is not that much of a stretch and SP toned it down a little with this last release and is looking for some crossover. I understand the diehard mentality but this is all money driven. We' d be silly to think it didn't matter that they haven't sold out a festival in years.

I know... I'm not feeling it so much either but it does make business sense. Are you really not going to go because RJA and Feeder are taking the Wookie stage for a few hours? Don't judge, they could be a good live presence. There's a lot of shows packed in there, a little variety is kind cool. Like when you're sniffing perfume at Nordy's with your shorty and they let you sniff coffee in between to cleanse the nasal pallette. Think of RJA as a cleanse for the palette of your earhole.

Alright ecandle, you're cute. My "dream playlist" doesn't include these guys and maybe the BA I talk to is wrong or lying, but I doubt it. I'm just saying, it might not be that bad. Like, who hasn't walked into a Starbucks for a NF Chai Latte and tapped their feet a little in line before they realized it was the Dixie Chicks they were listening to. OK, it wasn't in my iPhone or in the car but I'm not going to stop going to Starbucks because they played Staind in between the Shins and Bob Marley. One Love, brother. You're sarcasm can't change power of the almighty dollar.

Ryan I think we are safe , I do have new dish, portland lighting has the contract for a tent the size of fergies Mass. You know off to the right as you first walk in across from where ghostland played or better yet where that movie tent was . Apperantly there will be rave there and I'm guessing Paul Old can fold, Moby or Chemical bros. Yikes , let's hope for daft punk or aphex twin. Zoom you down with that?

Red Jumpsuit didn't book last year and they had the dates open, And last I heard Yellowcard has broken up. http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/04/29/no-more-yellowcard/ and interview which i can't find online right now but with Alternative Press magazine. That Simple Plan is taking a break after their current year long world tour which hit pretty much every continent except Australia (Which they're big in by the way.) I remeber it specifically stating that and if you want further proof look for their CBC interview during the All-Star game. They said the exact same thing. Lets get some source checkers in this piece before we start just typing random ass stuff? Feeder is the only plausible act out of all of them and even thats a stretch.

ecandle, I am not "down with that" nor am I speculating. This post is supposed to be a confirmations thread and I just wanted to share what I heard, however disappointing to some, from someone I consider to be a reliable source.
bobby, last year isn't this year. RJA was in the studio and just dropped a new LP. And look at the economy. SQ09 needs to attract a big crowd with some disposal income left. I get it. And last time I checked, some bands do get back together, some bands do special shows even after a long tour and even when they said they were taking a "break".
You guys can slam it all you want. It's a new day. Check it. RJA, SP, Feeder, and Yellowcard. Not saying I like it, just saying I have it on good word. If I'm wrong, I'll change my avatar to a close up of my cornhole.
