I think an awesome addition would be Patrick Wolf. Battle sounds like it will be very over the top, I'd love to see him return.

The Killers are touring, and are in the area late april. They have nothing scheduled for May... what are the chances?

the killers are playing at the wamu theater in seattle on April 22, so i'd have to say it's highly unlikely they'd make another stop here for sasquatch.

I noticed the main page showed the festival as three days. Is this an assumption, or fact? That would be great if it was three days again, I just have a weird feeling it will be only two, or two an a half with a Friday night show like Sasquatch 06. Think of all of the poor Canadians who had to take two days off to attend Mondays show?

This is no one's problem but those who have previous commitments(like work) and choose to go. LiveNation thinks of no one but LiveNation.

Can we initiate a letter writing campaign in order to ensure Boston Spaceship's appearance?

At least perhaps deluge their MySpace page:

That's such a frustrating, humorless, and flagrant misuse of the word spam, especially in light of the playful connotations of my post. Let's whip out the definition:

spam |spam|
noun
1 ( Spam) trademark a canned meat product made mainly from ham.
2 irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients.
verb [ trans. ]
send the same message indiscriminately to (large numbers of recipients) on the Internet.

Let's bury the hatchet.

Buried.

And allow me to reiterate in new words the enthusiasm with which I dream of Boston Spaceship's appearance at Sasquatch:

I'd be terribly stoked.

I can guarantee most of the Sasquatch line up is already done, have fun with that.

I'm pretty sure SSSS has nothing to do with Boston Spaceships, Robert Pollard's (Guided By Voices) new band...

Boston Spaceships would be rad.

I can guarentee you that the lineup has been finalized. I wrote Adam Snacks (Head Curator) a email asking him to consider the band BOATS to play the 3rd stage. This was about two weeks ago, he said that the lineup was completely finalized.

I would have to agree with bobbyrisigliano. I would expect a flurry of bands releasing their schedules shortly.

Dispelling some rumors as well... the coldplay one seems to be on the minds of a lot of bloggers. They're in Australia at the time. They do have a huge gap in their schedule, but it seems unlikely they would fly from Australia to the west coast and then back again...

I haven't seen anywhere that would dismiss the possibility that Coldplay is not playing Sasquatch!

Their last date in New Zealand on both their official website and pollstar is 3/19/09 and their first date after that is in Denmark on 8/16/09, that's a huge gap and plenty of time to do a tour in the U.S. Did you find a site that says otherwise?
