DeVotchKa is pretty tight,too.
and yeah, Josh, from the little I've heard, EitS are pretty sweet.
My friend from Oly(we go to school together, but we'll be in our own locales by the festival weekend, but thats not really important) are listening to a lot of the more obscure(at least to us) acts playing.
So far, out of the little smatterings we've heard:
*Gogol Bordello-Like I said, sounds pretty cool *DeVotchKa-Same *Bon Iver-Hard to tell, since every folk act I've ever seen live is about 100x better live than in studio. Folk bands sound musically castrated in the studio compared to live(Ray LaMontagne is a prime example) *Peter Bjorn and John-Pretty decent from what we heard *Explosions in the Sky-Already stated *Of Montreal-Were ok. Heard great things though(one of the few undercard bands I've heard of), so I'm willing to give them a chance in person. *Avett Brothers-Slightly better than Iver. But the same live vs. studio argument comes into play
thats just the little we listened to in like the last 1/2 hour. I'm sure between now and May we'll get what we like and what we don't pretty much hammered out. Hopefully there won't be too many staging conflicts.

Yeah Fleet Foxes are worth $54 of the dollars right there. Each day is well worth the money. I am definitely going. But it would be a nice bonus if another couple bands like The Shins, or Arcade Fire, or Andrew Bird/Sufjan Stevens came somehow haha.

There is still the mystery of why Death Cab and The Shins were listed on that TV thing on the development site. My hunch is that it was a link to pictures or videos from past performances, but you never know. Can't see Death Cab playing again, they covered the NW last year like poo on a blanket.
I doubt Death Cab would play. I wouldn't mind it though, thats for sure. But The Shins would be a very nice touch.
as a death cab fan, hopefully they won't be there. i saw them 4 times last year out of the 7 or 8 shows they played in the area. i don't care to see them again until their next record comes out.

I saw Death Cab last year and they were pretty awesome. I have always wanted to see The Shins but have never had the chance. Agreed that either would be completely rad!

Wow, I am extremely impressed by this lineup (since we already knew the headliners were a step down from previous years). One thing the big four festivals always have compared to Sasquatch is a strong middle tier. Sasquatch has never really had that. This will be the first year I spend 8+ hours at the festival each day.
Those who are disappointed in the lineup, are you only interested in bands with more radio success, or do you have a specific type of music you like? Sure this lineup would be over the top with Pearl Jam, but this is one of the best lineup Sasquatch has put out.
