Happy its Squashed!
No Doubt? Come on. This is an outdoor festival. Not some 1998 punk pop teen arena festival... Janes Addiction doesn't help that either.
How awesome would it be for The Shins there?

yeah, I think it was squashed just because of scheduling conflicts.
I may be the only one who wouldn't mind seeing No Doubt, but only if they played their 90's stuff, and none of their "Rock Steady Era" stuff. I know its not super popular around here, but I really liked No Doubt back when I was a wee lad in the 90's, and I really don't care if the music I'm hearing is old or new, good music(In my opinion) is good music to me, regardless of time.

I dont think No Doubt has released any tour dates yet. Plus it says on their site they are going to play ampitheatres starting in May. What are they playing in Calgary? I can't find anything about that. I just wish the lineup would come out now.

I found some dates that show their canadian scheduling conflicts, but those dates were fake.

I'm just going to say it. If the assumptions and this end leak are correct, then i am supremely disappointed. NIN and Jane's, Really? who gives a shit. with roo and coachella having such bad lineups i had high hopes a couple of big headliners could have finally given my fav n.w. fest the respect it genuinely deserves. This could have been sasquatch's breakout year! i dont know if i should be mad at organizers for thinking that we all would shit our pants to see sasquatch 2006 again or concerts in 2009 all together. either way i surely am a little sad i have to hope for the gorge to have better shows to see this summer than sasquatch. so go ahead flame this shit or delete it, whatever.
but i have a hunch i'm not alone.

Sasquatch Lineup! Listen to the Adam Carolla Show on Tuesday, to get the first word on who is playing Sasquatch this year. We can't say anything yet, but there is an Endfest '08 Unplugged band, Endie Winner, and Legendary band which will consist of all original members! (+ more)
this is from The End homepage. http://www.1077theend.com/
what time does the Adam Carolla Show start at?

I'm guessing the Unplugged band is The Airbourne Toxic Event. The Endie winner is one of either Fleet Foxes, MGMT, Santigold, or Kings of Leon. The the legendary band with all original members is Jane's Addiction (sigh)

The Endfest Band may also be The Ting Tings... they didn't really give much away with those hints. I guess we wait until tomorrow now. There isn't much more to talk about.

Topspin: I would definitely be at that communal beating. Its like calling 311 the best band of 2003 or something. (I am sure the year is wrong but whatever).
They may have had some fame, but nothing worthy whatsoever of being a headliner of even co-headlining.
The Kinks / Streetlight Manifesto would be worthy though... Much worthy.
Streetlight Manifesto anyone?

As sad as it is to say i would rather have the reunion band be Blink 182 than Janes Addiction...

hahaha wow i actually agree. that is so sad.
the only way Jane's Addiction will be cool is if Dave Navarro comes to party in the campsite.

I think I pretty much agree with everybody here....Kinks would be great, White Stripes could save the day, NIN would bring out creepy people/be kind of annoying, jane's addiction is decidedly not legendary. Honestly though, looking back at past lineups, I really have a sense of optimism that the promoters are going to come through and do something like...have NIN/JA on main stage the 1st night, but have a great band headlining the 2nd stage to get us from stop complaining, and give us great headliners the other nights. But if it's Ben Harper a 2nd night, and KoL headline the 3rd....that is just weak. Fingers crossed that we get Arcade Fire or someone else out of left field...Sufjan...Blur...

Totally agree. To be honest there aren't a ton of bands I'd love to see that would be considered headliner material. I'm really counting on a solid undercard. I know most will disagree, but with all the rumored headliners, I really won't mind if KOL is one of them. I'm not a big fan of their last 2 albums, but Youth and Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak are both fantastic. If they play a 1.5 or 2 hour set it'll mean a better chance of hearing more of their old material.
And yes I'm sure there will be a few bands that no one has talked about at all. Most years everyone's guesses/rumors usually turn out to be only about 1/3 of the actual lineup.
