In bluesborn defense, going out on limb here but Everyone on this board is in the NW, and Montana while not in the NW, has PJ ties and for that they are huge there also. Not a big PJ fan, but I'd watch them live and they would sell the tickets, they make sense as a headliner. And as a fan of KoL, this would be a down year if they headline.

Oh man, Fleetwood Mac would be pretty cool. I wish Arcade Fire was coming out with a new album because their performance in 2007 was awesome. I'd also love to see MGMT, Animal Collective, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (hopefully they'll be there, considering their new album) and Architecture in Helsinki would be rad, but they don't seem to be leaving Australia any time soon. Also, I would die of happiness if Cocorosie came to headline. I guess this is kind of turning into a wish list. While I'm at it I may as well wish that 311, Oasis, Weezer and Pepper DON'T headline. That would be gross.

Question: Are people under the impression that PJ isn't huge in the rest of the country? They're one band that's remained very popular throughout the world in fact. They're still an amazingly popular band. It's not just the northwest, they've headlined Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

Not everyone on this board is from the NW. This will be my third Sasquatch, and I'm from Chicago; I've attended with friends from Minnesota, Maryland, Texas, and California in past years. And I think nearly all of us would have supported a PJ headliner. I don't think it has that much to do with geography; PJ don't have any historical ties to Boston/NYC, but they have a huge fanbase there and play there all the time.
I agree that a KoL headliner would be hella disappointing.

Pretty sure they are. I wouldn't be surprised to see them on the lineup this year.

People "Attend" from all over, and are "from" all over, I was just saying at this point(in time) I think the majority of people on this board are Living in the NW. And yes PJ is very popular world wide, not arguing against that, but I think there is a larger fanbase here, for obvious reasons.

Wow some people are wishing for bands that aren't considered sasquatch material... i hope this doesn't mean Sasquatch is changing! What makes this festival so fun is how unique and fun the bands are!

Bruce Springsteen 2009 Tour
May 15 Hershey, PA May 18 Washington, DC May 19 Pittsburgh, PA May 21 E. Rutherford, NJ May 23 E. Rutherford, NJ May 30 Landgraaf, Holland June 2 Tampere, Finland
Do you think they would come all the way out for one show? Probably not but it would be fucking cool.
KoL as a headliner- meh... I hope Oasis/Weezer/No Doubt stay far away from Sasquatch. Nothing against them but I really don't want them to take up valuable slots.
If Pearl Jam did do squatch I could probably die happy (especially if they brought old neil young along.) Who ever thinks pearl jam is irrelevant is an idiot, plain and simple. They are living legends!

I'm going to predict Los Campesinos! now. They worked hard enough last year to warrant a position on most festivals this year.

Pearl Jam is lame especially considering this isn't 1992'. And kings of leon I want to see a rock n roll show not a yuppie jam fest with parents who drive there range rovers down to stand around with their kids in a baby bjorn. Mines well have dave Matthew's and coldplay. I went last year and got to see cedric from the mars volta throw a cymbal and fan into the audience. Once I saw that theres no going back they better spice up this line up. Animal collective would be amazing even though they are very hit or miss live. mgmt would good. arcade fire would be classic, franz ferdinan would be good. hell even bring back the hives. |

Ok, first off i have to say i wasn't even alive in 1992 and i still loveeeee Pearl Jam. I Grew up listening to them. It would be amazing if they headlined!
I see some people not wanting Oasis to be there but personally i think they would be a greatliner.
As for No Doubt....please keep them as far away from Sasquatch! as possible.

Neil Young and Pearl Jam would be amazing. Separate performances and then a collaboration performance...o to dream.
The Who and Pearl Jam would be spectacular too.
I would love to see NIN make an appearance again, they always put on a great show. Maybe have Explosions in the sky play at sunset prior to NIN...I love dreaming
Really hoping to see MURS, never seen him live before.
Be fun to see Guns n Roses at Sasquatch. An Everclear reunion would be cool to see.
Hopefully when they finally announce Coachella, there will be some good clues of possible performers.

Explosions in the Sky would make me so happy, but they aren't touring now.
Any post rock would be great, though.
