Yeah last year I had to play babysitter with a bunch of people who just went to party and didn't know jack shit about the bands playing. This year I'm just gonna go to the shows I want to see and tell my friends to suck it

I got sick of doing that too, and by the last day, just said fuck it and went down earlier in the day on my own.

I've continued to do that this last year at home too. I got so tired of missing out on shows 'cause my friends weren't as into the band or they didn't care to stay for the whole thing or go up front etc. Going on my own, I've ended up seeing some of the best shows of the last few years and met people at those concerts who are into the music I like so I have a few more people to go to shows with too.

my favorite sas/coachella discovery! also, i've played the round up role way too many times, but i've recently realized that i actually really enjoy going into festies alone. because i personally don't like sitting through bands that suck or missing ones i like just because i'm "tired". plus i've found out about some pretty awesome bands wandering around that i would've missed otherwise. also, gotta love friendly mini-convos and making new friends who're into the same shiz as you :)

They were much better when I saw them in Milwaukee with Pains opening up for The National.

In the end, I didn't make it in for Twin Shadow. Going to get tickets to see him play in Vancouver later this month though, so all is not lost!

They sounded awesome live. It was one of those acts that's great on an album and great in a totally different way live. The live drums really make them sound like a complete band live. Good energy, good crowd.

They could have sounded (A LOT) better. That is simply a fact that is unequivocal among those that actually go to plenty of shows, and that have seen them plenty of times. *shrugs*

I actually felt like leaving several times. I even tried to justify my early high praises for them to my girlfriend by apologising and meekly theorising that maybe they are not ready for such a large stage. She said she liked them anyway.

Postscript.
