So is Skrillex playing at 8 PM or AM? It isn't really clear on the schedule...

Saturday: I hate the fact that The Radio Dept. are on the main stage at 1:00. As much as I hate to say it, it will be near impossible to get my campsite into the venue to catch them.

I agree, but it will be worth it. Stay motivated!

Sunday: The Flaming Lips vs. Gayngs vs. Gold Panda/Flying Lotus. Horrible conflict, especially when you consider the Lips will roll into the start of Yeasayer as well.

This one sucks. Sadly, I might have to skip the Lips altogether or skip Yeasayer and catch a 2nd half of Lips. Grrr

I'm even more bummed to have Iron & Wine, The Thermals, & Washed Out at the same time on Saturday. Thermals I can see around town, but with so many other dead spots on Sun/Mon, I really hate that these are bunched. Washed Out better be worth it.

Does anyone really think I'm going to get any significant number of people to chant WRONG KID DIED during Bright Eyes? I mean, I'M going to yell it for sure but outside of the board nobody is going to get it and I'm not even relying on most of you fuckers to back me up.

I mostly enjoy that you'll be watching a band you dislike in order to get the chant going. :)

Well this is what I am doing for the whole day, but you probably have a completely different opinion:

Seattle Rock Orchestra
The Globes
The Head and the Heart
Local Natives
1/2 set Wolf Parade
J Mascis
Pink Martini (wildcard pick that I think will payoff)
A couple songs from The Antlers
Iron and Wine
Bright Eyes
Last couple songs of The Glitch Mob or Robyn
1/2 of DCFC's set
BASSNECTAR!

Switch - as a fellow Bright Eyes fan, I'm a little saddened you have no plans to see Radio Dept, Wye Oak, or Washed Out.

If Pink Martini is a wildcard, I strongly recommend Wye Oak instead - there most recent album is phenomenal. I'd be surprised if you didn't like it based on your other picks.

The WKD chant sure has turned into a lot of pressure for your dear ol' Horned Gramma.

Deerhunter jams a lot in their live shows, lengthening their songs. They're just mind blowing live. It's a shame that they're up against a larger act.

If you haven't heard them or seen them live, listen to their set from NPR Music here: http://www.npr.org/2010/10/12/130386900/deerhunter-in-concert

Also:

Deerhunter is the main reason why I'm not leaving Monday afternoon. I missed them last time they came to town and I'm very very excited.

Thanks for the suggestions, Saturday is definitely my busiest day.

I'll start with Radio Dept and the conflict with the Globes. I am originally from Spokane so I have to represent. Plus I know a drummer from a Seattle band and he personally told me that I have to see the Globes because he is buddies with their drummer and couldn't stop raving about how awesome he is. So that's why I made that decision.

I might take your advice on the Wye Oak recommendation. I might have to split time with them and Pink Martini. I have never listened to either of them very thoroughly but I wanted to see Pink Martini just because I know that they are very talented musicians and it might be interesting. This conflict is still up in the air. I will research it further.

As far as Washed Out goes....well by the time Iron and Wine is starting I will have three things on my mind. Seeing Iron and Wine, making my way up front, and BRIGHT EYES! I just can't fit Washed Out in there.

I will check out Wye Oak more in-depth though. Cheers!

I'm in the exact same boat re: Pink Martini. My current plan is to hit Wolf Parade, then check out at least the first part of Jenny & Johnny (because a couple of friends told me I need to check them out) and then make a game-time decision from there.

lostatlimbo if you are still out there in internet land....THANK YOU! I gave Wye Oak a good listen and I love it. I will be seeing them instead of Pink Martini probably. Or maybe try to see a little of both.
