I'll bet that worked once. I mean adding up all the times it has been attempted, one had to slip past the goalie. I nearly pulled it off once.

I got it. I just didn't respond because "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"

Fair enough. I love it, you hate it, that's cool. I don't want to start another 3 page argument about Bright Eyes. But I would like to present song lyrics from one of the songs because I really think that it shows the maturity in writing that has come with the new album versus some of their older stuff:

I do my best to sleep through the caterwaul
The classicist, the posturing avant-garde
I bought a grey macaw, named him Jules Verne
He'll probably outlive me - he's a bright bird
Keeps me company, I teach him new words

I saw a hologram at the theme park
She looked as real as me through the white fog
Then she melted down to her ankles
Turned into a million-watt candle
If I knew where she went, I would follow

Walking through the land of tomorrow
Martian trinkets, plastic Apollos
In the sunshine, try to act normal
My veins are full of flat cherry cola
Slept on the bench by the rollercoaster

Dreamt I was riding on a motorbike
Lion of Judah, painted on the side

I'm doing fine, I'm back in the Palisades
Life's a wash, a pastoral school play
China shops and cold ivory towers
I and I, make toasts to the Caesars
Forcing down the dregs of Decembers

Madeline, she spins in a slow bang
All through the house, the strong smell of burnt sage
Let's make it clean and run out the spirits
I know a diving bell when I hear it
We're going down now under the surface

Light to dark can shift in an instant
Feeling close but keeping my distance
On all fours she's just so insistent
Fills my mind with jump ropes and slit wrists
Bust through the Firewall into Heaven

And then I'm standing in that blinding light
Crooked crosses falling from the sky

Seen, yeah, seen by I and I...

yeah, that song fills my mind with jump ropes and slit wrists, too.

"Has the Hottest Wife" should be Switch's title. He totally deserves one.

Yes, I like it. Can I get a title? My last one was "Ben Harper Apologist" and it just didn't do it for me.

Well at least I know you took the time to read the lyrics. That makes me happy I guess.

HG was at the store. That is in fact exactly what I would have posted after reading those WKD lyrics.

Speaking of Bright Eyes....you know that new Man Man album that everyone is raving about? It was produced by Bright Eyes' own Mike Mogis. He has really established himself as a brilliant producer in the the indie music scene. You guys should know that I am not one of those Bright Eyes fans that only raves about Conor. I equally respect the work of Mike Mogis and don't think the band would be nearly as good without him.

Edit: I was just reading that musical mastermind Nate Walcott from Bright Eyes also contributed to the album as well. Crazy. Life Fantastic has contributions from 2/3 Bright Eyes members. No WKD though so you can all rest easy.
