Anyone else think this is the worst conflict and needs to be changed? The music is not the same but their shows are both amazing. Change this please! nobody will be at Ghostland the way this is setup...

You have to have your plan but remain flexible. The last two years major upsets moved set-times significantly. Especially main stage.

I'm also "bumbed" about this.
I mean it all around sucks because these were the big 3 for me seriously. Mars Volta, Ghostland Observatories, and Flaming Lips. I can't miss ANY of the UFO show. But it would be my first time for both of the others. But luckily I can see Mars Volta at ACL Fest.
So my plan is to try to catch the start of all 3 bands.

You want have to miss any of TMV. Ghostland starts at 8:30 and, even though there is no end to TMV's set time, it can be assumed TMV will end at 8:30. So If you wanna get a good spot for ghostland, you would probably only have to leave TMV 15-20 minutes early. Which means you will only be missing half of one TMV song. No joke.
But yes, this is a very upsetting conflict. Worst of the festival for sure. However, conflicts are unavoidable at festivals. I am just glad I can see full sets of The Hives, Battles and Rodrigo y Gabriela. I thought for sure those 3 were gonna conflict somehow.

I really don't find this to be a conflict. I choose a front row spot to the lips before ghostland. It seems to be the obvious choice, considering it is a UFO SHOW!
