oh for FUCK'S sake.

for the second time now i've turned off the brilliant yummy goodness of 808's & Heartbreak for this band and the second time around was 1000000000000000000 times worse.

I dig Villagers. Kinda Damien Rice-y?

I really like this song by Villagers. Their music isn't mind-blowing stuff that will knock you off your couch, yet if you listen to the whole album it is pretty solid in my opinion. It has that poetic subtlety and simplicity that appeals to me.

I love the singing at about 2:25

Gosh dangit I really want to hear this song but all streaming audio is blocked from work. I guess I will have to wait until I get home.

Know did you ever Dr. Garbanzoure out if that is a wolf or a bear? Bolf? Wear?

It's definitely a wolf, it was labeled as a wolf shirt when I bought it. I forgot about that when I mentioned it looks more like a bear. Plus, without giving away too much personal information, I felt the power of the wolf the first couple days after I got it. It didn't feel like three wolf power, but easily felt like a wolf, maybe a wolf and a half power.

Now that I have a theme song, I'm going to wear that shirt the day Villagers play. If anyone cares to howl along with me at the end of "Pieces," it will be fun.

I thought horsey noises were yr thing, Gunther. Not wolves.

Anyway, there was plenty of primal scream therapy when Bon Iver played in '09.

Well of course I still dig the horse sounds a lot more. The wolf howling in the Villagers song is classic though, and makes me laugh every time. Now if he spent a minute making horse noises at the end of that song, I wouldn't be able to listen to it without soiling myself.

Though Horned Gramma will probably tell you greatest hits albums are for housewives and little girls, may I recommend listening to Human Amusement at Hourly Rates and Dr. Garbanzouring out which tracks sound like the sound you go for the most and search out those albums.

My short answer: Bee Thousand probs.

bee thousand and alien lanes are probably the easiest to get into. Most of the songs they're playing live are coming from those two
