I'm going to voice my opinion and some people might not agree but sometimes you need to put an end to shit like this. Its one thing to gather in the alleyway to listen to the band, but when you start ripping down fences that are there for a reason, then you start endangering peoples lives and its not funny anymore. Think if all those people ripped down that fence and started mobbing towards the stage. That's when you start talking about a situation where you are over capacity and people are going to get trampled. So in this case, the police needed to be there to put an end to it. Thats my opinion. Maybe I'm getting old and soft, but common sense should tell you that the situation in the alley could have been a disaster. I would have to side with the police in this case. Plus the fucker that threw a beer into the face of the police horse was way out of line. Fucking drunk asshole.

I agree. I wasn't saying that the "authority" shouldn't do something about it, but shutting down a set when you already have a lot of absent minded people is only going to piss them off and make them be even more belligerent. Giving them the option to clear out or it gets shut down seemed liked the right thing to do, versus just shutting it down without warning.

Any logical person wouldn't disagree with you, Switch. That shit was out of control and I'm pretty disgusted by the lack of respect for the venue security and police. Capacities exist for a reason. Even in semi-outdoor tents like that people in the middle and front can be crushed and in a state of confusion it's way too easy for people to get injured and even killed.

That's where Sasquatch reigns supreme in comparison to other festivals in that the atmosphere and just overall morale is uncanny and people just want to have fun and not give a fuck about anything else. Plus I would say the majority at Sasquatch are zoned out in the clouds instead of belligerently drunk. Extremely drunk concert goers are usually the most problematic.
