I saw SW three times at SXSW and I'd say see Typhoon over them any time.

I just recently discovered Typhoon. One of their songs would play all the time on the local college station and I finally Dr. Garbanzoured out it was them. This is good news for the fest.

Starting Over and Mouth/Belly of the Cave were my favorites from Hunger and Thirst. Check those out, and better yet, give the whole album a run through if you can.

There should be another 'v' in Wavves on the schedule.

I am liking Typhoon so far. it's probably an early time slot, which is so often difficult to get to. So I likely wont see them anywavves =(

Wye Oak is listed higher than J Mascis on the schedule page, so I think swapping those two might be in order (it wasn't always that way, but I think it changed a few weeks ago).

which is fine by me if WO gives me something to do during Pink Martini, but the prediction game can be tricky and I am kinda hoping there are a few surprises when the actual schedule comes out... like maybe Wolf Parade getting a decent slot/amount of time to play.

UPDATE: looks like they switched J Mascis and Wye Oak again... in other news, I should stop obsessing over this shit.

noted. i'm also thinking that Pink Martini will probably play earlier in the day than where they're currently listed.

I hope you guys are right about pink martini and wye oak and especially Wolf Parade, the potential WP/WO/Antlers conflict on the schedule as of now is a serious bummer

You guys don't understand; Pink Martini is one of the biggest draws on the whole lineup.

Also, if not top five then at least top ten on my list of bands I'm most excited to see.

I think it's neat that you're excited to see 'em. Really.

Look, I concede that they have a respectable size loyal cult following, but really - they do absolutely nothing for me. At least, within the context of Sasquatch.

And while I admit they're not the worst band on the list, I can still think of 40 other acts on the lineup I'd rather see.

They do nothing for me EXCEPT in the context of Sasquatch. Their music is mild and forgettable and their fanbase are a bunch of upper class assholes, so I would never EVER go see them when they play in town (which is all the damn time), but all those mellow vibes and tropicalia rhythms are going to make for some weird, space lounge-y kind of atmosphere at the Gorge.

Like the music of Martin Denny accompanying the insanity in Alan Rudolph's film adaptation of Breakfast of Champions. The juxtaposition is going to be priceless.
