 What's your game plan?
« Thread Started on May 9, 2008, 6:12pm »

Assuming the leaked schedule is legit, what bands are you hitting? ???

I realize it's a bit ambitious, but If I went right now my plan would look like this-

Friday-
Upright Citizen's Brigade -> Beirut/The Whigs -> Kathleen Edwards -> The National -> New Pornos -> Okkervil River -> The Breeders -> REM

Saturday-
What Made Milwaukee Famous -> J Tillman -> Cold War Kids -> Tegan & Sara/Rogue Wave -> Mates of State -> The Kooks -> Malkmus -> The Cure

Sunday-
Yeasayer -> Matt Costa -> The Hives -> Built to Spill -> Rod Y Gab -> Battles -> Jamie Lidell -> Ghostland/FLAMING FUCKING LIPS

Your avatar is nice, but I must think out loud. Wouldn't it make more sense to fall on an escalator going down? If that was the case, you would get down the flight of stairs quicker. Falling backwards on an upward escalator only happens after a couple pints of whiskey. Am I putting too much thought into this?

on saturday im sticking to the main stage all the way- fleet foxes, dengue fever, beirut, skipping ozomatli, then the national, skipping new pornos, then MIA, modest mouse, and REM.

on sunday im checking out the small stages a bit- the morning benders, the heavenly states, the cold war kids, the presidents for sure, michael franti, and im skipping Death cab, because they're just not my bag, then im going to stephen malkmus and the jicks they seemed pretty cool from what i saw, then the cure, even though im not really a fan, they are just huge.

I am most excited for monday actually-dyme def, yeasayer, MATT COSTA!, THE HIVES!, the cave singers are badass, kinski, mars volta, and THE FLAMING LIPS. Oh man, i can't wait

hmmm, this is my first time at sasquatch and i'm already loving the fact that there are hardly any conflicts...
SAT: fleet foxes > beirut > the national! (destroyer would have been cool) > new pornographers > MIA/ okkervil river/modest mouse > REM
SUN: white rabbits > rogue wave/tegan and sara > mates of state > the kooks > stephen malkus >the cure
MON: yeasayer > matt costa > hives >built to spill/the little ones > flights/battles > jamie lidell >flaming lips
question-- if i want to be in the main floor for flaming lips, do i have to sit through mars volta? will it already be full by the time jamie lidell is done?

Saturday:
Dengue Fever/Upright Citizens Brigade -> Beirut/The Whigs/Ozomatli -> Vince Mira -> New Porno's (maybe) -> CRUDO! -> Modest Mouse -> REM

Sunday:
65daysofstatic/What Made Milwaukee Famous (brutal conflict for me) -> Cold War Kids/White Rabbits (another bad one) -> The Cops -> PotUSA -> Michael Franti -> Not Death Cab -> THE CURE

Monday:
The Choir Practice -> Matt Costa -> The Hives -> Rodrigo y Gabriela -> BATTLES -> THE MARS VOLTA -> The Flaming Lips

I am still torn about possibly missing the first half hour of the Flaming Lips for Ghostland. I love Ghostland... but I don't wanna give up a good spot for the Flaming Lips. Its gonna be a gametime decision.
