In '08 they didn't have the tent yet, they were doing comedy in one of those buildings near the beer garden; it was fucking stupid, it had such limited capacity people had to line up hours ahead of time to get in to see UCB; I missed it entirely.

There were a LOT of organizational fuck-ups that year, not the least of which was the complete failure to give information about the 'Christmas on Mars' premiere.

I just remembered who Tim Minchin is.

He's actually very funny.

Just looked him up, and I have to admit his appearance frightens me.

Yeah, it was a fucking disaster. Great fest that year, though; great, great fucking Squatch. Fantastic vibe, and SOLID fucking headliners. They've learned a lot as the festival has gotten bigger; one of the best ideas they ever had was moving the Wookie onto that lawn. Once they get the sound issues worked out they'll be golden.

I didn't respond to the russel brand hair/eyeliner well at first either, but he's definitely grown on me.

I'm more interested in Axis of Awesome and Reggie Watts... but Bubbles is definitely a draw. I could do without the rest of TPB.

I rather watch bubbles if he were still with Sandbox.

Not a big TPB fan.

You know I'm glad that there is a dance tent now but I enjoyed it when the wookie was back in the corner behind where the dance tent is now. Switching the wookie and yeti stage was an incredibly smart idea though. When they had the wookie over next to the food stands it was always way to crowded

Zach G in 2009 was awesome. That is all.

If you were watching Zach, you missed the cliff sex.

That is all.

Which also means I missed the Decemberists who I've really come to like. Live and learn I guess. I did see the youtube video.
Zach G was worth it though, I'll get to see the Decemberists this year.

Also the fact that the comedians were in a seperate building by the beer gardens explains why I missed Sara Silverman that one year. 2006 I think?

It also strikes me as odd that the Trailer Park Boys are a comedy act this year. Its tough to imagine how they will translate to stand up. Were they doing stand up prior to being a tv show/movie?
