Calling it now - Seattle and Atlanta will meet in the NFC Championship.
...and then the winner of that game will lose in the Super Bowl. Because God hates both of our cities.

I can't fucking wait to see the power rankings this week. Everyone had the Niners pegged at #1 and picked them to beat Seattle. WADDUP NFL.

150 points in the last 3 games?! Daaayum. But this is the sketchy part... can this kind of momentum be sustained into the post season/over the next 5 games? Just hoping we haven't peaked too soon. And yes, I am a fairweather fan who only gets excited about my teams when they perform like badasses. What can I say, growing up as a diehard M's fan broke me over the years.

It's ironic I even questioned the sack celebration a while back.

Brett Keisel did his signature "shoot the arrow" sack dance after sacking the Bengals QB last week making it 4th and 20, and was flagged. It was a 15 yard penalty and an automatic first down. Apparently the rule is you can't go to the ground in celebration, and his knee hit the ground. I'll bet you didn't know that rule?

Also little known, Tim Tebow is the only player exempt.

In this week's wonk thinks NFL refs are comically terrible, I caught a bit of the Colts game before heading to work. The first play of the second quarter (I believe) had Luck fumbling the football holding the ball too long in the pocket. The call on the field was a fumble, but the refs overturned it because they said Luck's arm was moving forward when the ball got knocked out of his hand, so it was an incomplete pass.
Fair enough, that appeared to be the case, but he threw the ball five yards backwards. There is no such thing as an incomplete pass that goes backwards. If it goes backwards, it's a fumble.
If there is some wacky rule which states, "a backwards pass is not a fumble when the tuck rule is applied," I would like the referees to state this. We all want to understand the rules better, and when the refs can't explain their questionable call, they continue to come off as incompetent.

Man I got pretty fucking choked up watching Ray walk on to the field for the final snap. When the Browns moved to Baltimore, I got into football for the first time of my life. Ray Lewis has been a household name with the Dr. Garbanzoinski's for the majority of my life and knowing that won't be the case after this season is a bittersweet pill to swallow. The amount of love the city of Baltimore has for him is just incredible.
Now let's hope the Seahawks can get their shit together. BRING ON PEYTON AND THE DENVER FOREHEADS.

Next stop Atlanta. I hope the Hawks and Packers each win, so that they can rematch the infamous replacement ref game in the NFCCG.
