I can do Stouts in any weather as well. A lot of warm climate countries (Caribbean nations I am mostly thinking of) have Guinness as one of their only brews they import. Maybe it is because of the people that vacation there but I thought it was funny a stout was the beer they imported.

The Oktoberfest was pretty fun. A couple of standouts were beers that I have already had but just as tasty as I remember them:
Diamond Knot Vienna Lager (so fucking good)
Everybody's Brewing Common Ale

I basically just learned that I enjoy stouts and it's like a whole new world has been opened. Come November I'm going to be trying new one every night.

The great thing about liking stouts is that Guinness is always really good and on tap almost everywhere. So even if there isn't anything exotic, you can always have a Guinness. That's not necessarily true if you like IPAs or hoppy beers.

Rogue is going to start using a new kind of yeast that they grow themselves. Cultured from yeast found in a dudes beard.

Lagu-fuckin-itas IPA
Phillips Amnesiac Double IPA
Phillips Crooked Tooth Pumpkin Ale
Howe Sound Imperial Pumpkineater Ale
...and whatever Pumpkin incarnation zombie picks up on her way home (I'm hoping Steamworks).

I've heard nothing but amazing things about Crooked Tooth. I hope some manages to make it's way out here.

Crooked Tooth is special. My fave pumpkin so far for sure.

I really can't say enough good things about Phillips Brewing.

Was feeling like a little bit of my country of origin, so drinking some Unibroue brews this evening, namely Maudite and La Fin du Monde. Listening to LCD Soundsystem (S/T and This is Happening) which us nit very Canadian. Might put on some Guess Who or BTO next.

I find it so strange that two of my least favorite breweries (Widmer and Pyramid) make two of my favorite winter warmers (Brrr and Snowcap, respectively). I drank myself into a stupor last night off of Widmer's Brrr. That stuff is some seriously tasty beer.

Jubelale 2012 is fuuuuckin' tasty. I don't usually drink Deschutes beers, but I always love me some Jubel.

All this talk about fruit/gourd flavored beer is making me wanna give up the bottle, though.
