Watched A Dangerous Method (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1571222/), thought Keira knightley's performance was amazing. Would recommend.

I was going to see it but...Frankly, I'm saving my money for Looper and Cloud Atlas at this point in the year.

There's a 70mm print of P.T. Anderon's The Master screening in Seattle starting Friday. Definitely making time for that. Paul Thomas Anderson is the Stanley Kubrick of our generation; there is not a single working filmmaker more important that him.

Hard to argue with that. I think the only other director that has a chance to have an equally great (and important) career is Alfonso Cuaron. I also think the Coen Brothers have a small claim. There are a lot of really good directors working right now, but they will have little to no impact on future generations of filmmakers. PT Anderson undoubtedly will. And he's only in his forties.

uhg I'm incredibly jealous. There was talk of screening it out here but it appears that it's not happening. I'll go see it in 35mm but I won't be happy about it...

Cuaron is great but he's really only made 3 films of note so far and he's already 50. I'm excited for Gravity but having Sandra Bullock as the star isn't the best sign.

Gravity is going to open up with a 17-minute unbroken shot. And there will be other long shots throughout the film. Dude's the master of 1) the unbroken tracking shot, and 2) deep focus shots

Oh, I don't doubt this at all. Children of Men is top 5 of the last decade for me, I've lost count of how many times I've seen it. I'm just saying that he's going to need to pick up his pace a bit if he wants to go down as one of the greatest of all time.

Fucks yes. I am so there. PTA, Jonny Greenwood and an excellent cast- should be wonderful. But I'm seeing that it opens at the Cinerama next Friday (9/21), the day AFTER we drive back to Portland. Does this mean you will be planning another trip northwards or did I just burst yo bubble?

No arguments here.

Children of Men is my favorite movie ever. I'm skeptical about Gravity, but ready to be blown away nonetheless.

Too much Viagra! I tells ya... That prescription should come with caution tape before people start losing their eyeballs. Back in my day we didn't have no Viagra, we just had this thing called "shut up and go to bed!"
