Got high and watched Rock of Ages tonight which turned out to be a pretty decent decision.
Tomorrow will be either Brave or Moonrise Kingdom.
How was Tom? I'm not ashamed to admit that I am the biggest Cruise fan in the room.
He was really good. At first I was gonna say he really shone and stole the show, but really they all held their own (except Mary J Blige; that was just a waste of casting). All the performances were top notch. And when it would be cheesy, it was completely intentional and worked. Loved the line "when my hamster died, your music really helped me through."
Coulda been 'cause I was high or maybe not, but I found I got quite lost in the movie and wasn't thinking about other things. It did seem to lose some steam in the second half and I felt a few threads were under-developed, but otherwise, I thought it was a good time. Don't bother watching it if you don't like that type of rock though. If your foot's not tapping during the ads, go see something else.

Just saw Safety Not Guaranteed and I really enjoyed it. This is coming from someone who is disappointed when leaving the movie theater 90% of the time...

So we just saw The Matrix at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony playing the original score, conducted by Don Davis. It was fucking sweet. But now the movie theater will be even more boring.
