Guys! It's October! It's Halloween month! As your official (read: self-appointed) Halloween Liasion, I vow to keep this thread within the "latest topics" for the entire month ;-). Let's start with "favorite childhood Halloween costumes" bonus points for pics! Go!

For years I was the wicked witch from Wizard of Oz, all green and warts. I loved it.
My favourite was when I was eleven and my mom helped make me my costume. She cut a plastic knife and attached it to a headband and cut another knife and glued it to an old sweatshirt with the handle out the back and the bloody point out the chest. We did my make up so I looked all decomposing and covered me in fake blood. I was basically just a walking dead person but I told everyone when they'd ask what I was that I didn't listen to my mom or didn't finish my chores and shed punished me. My grandma thought it was very "unladylike" and I loved it.

Haha, I can totally picture you and your mom doing that together. The costume -- not her stabbing you.
I was Bill Clinton and my (male) best friend of the time was Monica Lewinski. Somebody remind me when that happened so I can tell you how young I was. My friend smeared toothpaste on his dress because we were definitely too young to produce semen.
Best of both worlds, save for the hideously disDr. Garbanzoured nutsack.

Once I was Cat Woman. Michelle Pfieffer style. My grandma made me a suit with a bunch of zig-zag stitching instead of zippers. I was at the mall with my mom in costume and saw they were having a costume contest. I entered the contest, thinking I would go up and do a cartwheel or something cool. When the time finally came, I was the youngest entrant by several years. And a woman went on before me in a sexy Cat Woman costume with some movie dialogue. When I got up there I totally panicked and just stood there staring at the crowd. I was finally able to squeak out, "I'm Cat Woman. Meow."
It was quite embarrassing but I got over it fast. I was always doing stuff like randomly signing up for contests in public. I will have to see if my mom can find any pictures.

The only Halloween I remember from when I lived in Edmonton, we only went trick or treating to the neighbour's on each side, in full boots and parka over my cowboy costume, and then went to the mall to finish trick or treating.
Do they still do that Souly? I think it was West Edmonton mall, not sure though.

One year in elementary I went all out and got done up as Freddy Kruger with this badass plaster face stuff. It took a long time to do and I was so proud of it. I go to school and later in the day I get called into the office with a couple other Freddy Krugers. Apparently there was a girl in the school who was absolutely terrified of this character and we got told we either had to remove our costumes or be sent home. I gladly spent the rest of my day hanging out at my grandma's house because there was no way I was going to take off that that plaster off.
This year I'm going to be in Maui over Xmas, so Megatron and I are going as pirates.

I'm playing in a Heart cover band, a Rolling Stones cover band, and a Mogwai cover band for a Halloween show, and then the night before that I'm playing at this weird event with rampant drug use and many skimpy halloween costumes called "Skinful Halloween" which has crazy $60 tickets. Then the night before that, another band plays with David Liebe Hart. This should be fun.
