Zombies vs Panthers?

It really all depends on whether the panthers are themselves capable of becoming zombies, and of course on whether we are talking about fast feral zombies or the slow shambling variety.

I really do think more movies should have zombie animals though, especially zombie dinosaurs. Unstoppable.

Movie idea: Dinosaurs become zombies, eventually die out. Millions of years later their bones have turned into oil. The oil is extracted from the ground and refined into gasoline, and suddenly machines start becoming infected.

Brilliant movie.

And it's fine HG, I'm not butthurt nor have I been involved in hurling around insults. For your part you've been annoying but civil as well, and I"m fine with that- I don't expect everyone to agree about a contentious issue, I just expect when called out on said issue my own arguments will be greeted with substantive replies rather than "you're an idiot".

Sorry man, I didn't mean to make you have to use your brain to Dr. Garbanzoure out what on earth I could have been talking about. I will be sure to explore evey nook and cranny in order to eliminate all fringe elements of any topic in order for you to make sense of what is going on.

That was the last one. Now, talking time.

I guess the gap that I feel needs bridging in your definition of Objectification is that Objectification isn't limited to extreme cases where women are doing porn as a last result or worse. You aren't wrong in saying that it is often a consensual choice in the porn industry. You are just missing the entire Socialization aspect of the issue.

These aspects explore the side of why for instance, you as a new member in a community, where you know women post on, would feel totally comfortable to post a gif of a girl getting her ass spanked. And lets be honest for a second, not in a loving way, not in a couples way, but in a "Check out that fucking ass" way. I really don't mean to say this to pick on you. Truthfully I don't believe your intentions were to insult the women and others on the board. Many males find themselves in the same position.

Again, the idea of objectfication goes far beyond a simple definition of "matters being out of ones control". The women that are consensually going into the porn industry are not mavericks who get to call the shots. They have unfortunately been convinced that this is sexy or this is okay, but really it is only sexy or okay for the intended audience (who is overwhelmingly male)as long as she does not stray outside of the perameters of the male porn fantasy. The commonality of women using their bodies to fullful male ordered fantasies (in porn, movies, magazines, music, ect...) has unfortunately lead to both men and woman thinking this simply is sexuality. As in nature taking its course. People fail to realize that this is simply sexuality expressed from a male point of view, not sexuality in its raw untampered form. So if sexuality in our media is almost 100% driven from a male point of view, it is not equal and thus results in woman feeling the pressure in needing to pander to the male defined definition of sexuality rather than their own. Or better a common sexuality that does not demean one sex or the other. This is the objectification women in general feel from mainstream porn. The more it is reinforced doesn't make it less objectifying, it simply reins in the limited scope of how they are expected to act. The worst part is that there is no silver lining here, if a women trys to go against these expected norms she is not met with overwhelming respect by the masses (workplace, ect...), instead they are discriminated against and called prude, frigid, a bitch and worse. There are social penalties for going against this. That is a shitty thing to ever have to feel and I think you would agree it is EVEN out of their control when you take into account the idea of socialization.

I'd say that the idea of socialization is a tricky one, but god knows that word doesn't go over well here.

The problem is that there is no such thing as sexual roles without an overarching societal influence- we just don't know what really is unadulterated sexuality- there will always be adulteration via culture.

Of course, one could also make the rather plain point that females are remarkably endowed with obvious flagrant symbols of their sexual fertility which signal nothing about their underlying personhood and which men have been shaped for our entire history to latch onto. That portion of the equation is not a moral one- it is fact, and men have at least 1 similar adornment (our incredibly large penis (by primate standards)).

In any case, I'm quite happy with at truce being called and respect your point that socialization is important- I still think the greatest practical evil of pornography is in people who cannot delineate agreed upon acts from real world situations, much like the inability to discriminate movie violence from real violence is potentially problematic (depending on which side of that very lengthy debate you follow). It seems few people in this thread however have any real interest in debating points in an intelligent way, so as I mooted before, if you'd like to continue this conversation via PM i'd be more than willing.
