I'm grinning like an idiot because we actually have a signed conditional offer on the house we want. Now we (or the guy we're paying a hefty commission to) just need to sell the condo.

Cool man! Hope it all turns out for you. I was always pretty interested, as I'm probably going to have to go through the process in the next couple years, and it's interesting hearing others stories on the matter.

Thanks man, I'll keep that in mind. Although I'm still a pretty far ways off, but once I'm done school next year it will be a step to take. From everyone I've heard of buying a house, it always seems like one of those things that inevitably will add a lot of grey hairs.

I assume it would be a lot easier if we didn't have to sell a property to buy one. If we were renting it would be so much easier.
Just make sure your credit is good and you have some money for a down payment and you're golden. You could go 0-down, but that just seems like a bad idea to me.

Yeah, my credit is impeccable. Not to throw her under the bus, but my girlfriend isn't allowed credit cards anymore, so that might be a small issue. But once we graduate we will both have the same, steady job, so hopefully they take that into account(fingers crossed).
