I don't think that trade was THAT bad. He at least gave up a couple good players. He only offers me his two worst players in every trade.

And that strategy is ridiculous. Like declining a trade offer is such a chore. I thought his strategy was, "if I make 400 terrible trade offers, at least one person will accidentally hit the 'accept trade' button when they're drunk."

EDIT: I secretly hope CHODE-inez becomes your nickname for him.

Nice work landing Wall for practically nothing drew. If he can get healthy, that's a steal. I tried to get Wall from that dude when I read he would be out much longer than expected, but he turned down the two offers I made (both players I offered were 100% owned). He countered asking for Ibaka for Wall, so I just I assumed dude was the biggest Wall fan on the planet and quit trying. Then a week later you get him for a guy owned in only 61% of the leagues. Good job.

Yeah...I was pretty miffed. He must have gotten fed up with Wall's injury. Right time right place I guess.

I'm not sure if I love you or hate you for getting me into fantasy basketball, but I keep staring at the numbers. I waste minutes a day doing this.

This seemed like the only logical place to post this so here it goes...

The Golden State Warriors have now won 5 consecutive road games. This is the first time such an event has occured for the dubs since 1978.

David Lee needs to be an All Star.

It's pretty incredible. Curry and Thompson are a hell of a backcourt, and not as woeful defensively as used to be suggested. And in the frontcourt, Bogut ought to fix all their defensive problems instantly. They'll have two of the best pure defensive rebounders in the game in him and Lee, and two legit post scorers and pick-and-roll guys in Lee and Carl Landry. And Harrison Barnes is gaining confidence. They're fun to watch.

I went to watch them beat the Nets earlier this year and the crowd in Oracle Arene are really phenomenal; great basketball culture in the bay area. I'll be sad to see them move to the city because so many Oakland peeps won't get to go to games, but I know it means good things for the franchise, and they could use new facilities.

The all-star situation is a bummer in the NBA, because it definitely doesn't go to the most deserving players, and it means so much to the cities and the players' legacies to be an All-Star. D-Wade will be a starter because of fan voting and perception even though he's had a horrible year by his standards; Anderson Varejao won't get in in spite of being the best center in the league so far this year, because he plays for a shitty team and because he isn't a household name.

I've watched a fair amount of Warriors games this season, because I have Curry on my fantasy team. That guy is fun to watch. Klay Thompson on the other hand, I don't get. A shooter who can't shoot. Maybe he just disappears in the 4th quarter every night (when I'm paying the most attention). Maybe I have a lower opinion of the guy because Chodinez has tried to trade me Thompson for Brandon Jennings about fourteen times, but I don't see anything above average from that guy.

He can shoot. Maybe not in the games you watched, but he looks like a pure shooter. He's a little streaky, but young players often are. And he's quick. Honestly, they're similar players - Thompson doesn't distribute as well as Curry.

Also, Chodinez has been trying to dump Thompson all season, and I've been ignoring all trade requests for a couple of weeks.

Klay Thompson has the most pure stroke in the league.

Fuck that. I try not to talk out of my ass too often, so I did in fact look up his stats before my post earlier today. He is shooting 41% from the field, which is borderline terrible, and 36% from threes, which isn't very good. Correct, I don't watch every game, and yes, I've never heard of the guy before two months ago, but he seems to get a ton of open shots, while Curry is never open and has much better shooting stats.

If we're purely speaking aesthetics, I still side with Curry.

Is my man crush too obvious?

My comment was based entirely on aesthetics. I'm a huge Warrior fan. I didn't buy NBA League Pass this year and am regretting it. Curry is an incredible scorer but his stroke is nowhere near as beautiful as Klay's is. That's obviously just my opinion, but I stand firmly by it.

Yeah, and Ben Grieve had a sweet swing, but so did Ken Griffey Jr.

I did buy the league pass. It's Drew's fault.

ESPN's fantasy website is pretty solid. They routinely update stats before I see them on almost live TV, even with ESPN broadcasted games. Pretty funny.
