A lot of boardies have come and gone over the years. Sometimes they conspicuously vanish overnight; some of them just fade away. And some of them got banned in the midnight hours when nobody was looking and I thought I could get away with it.

This thread is to memorialize those of us who outgrew this place, or to reminisce about the notorious bastards who got run out on a rail. Maybe if we say something nice about them, they'll find it while doing a vanity search on Google and we'll get a couple of them back.

I was thinking about bradberad just recently. He was always one of the best of us; he was well-rounded, level-headed and he didn't take no shit. I met him once just briefly at Sasquatch 2011; we watched Das Racist for a couple minutes and burned one down together. He was one solid dude.

I posted something about swimming once and he sent me a bunch of tips! We both swam competitively at one time! I think I met him last year, and he is indeed very rad.

I'm just pissed that andimac was one of the best contributors to the ongoing 2012 favorite albums thread, and then disappeared a couple weeks before Sasquatch. Y U NO FAVRIT ALBUMS ANDIMAC!?

Stampy still pokes his head in every now and then, and I reckon he'll be back when the Coachella machine starts rumbling. I think the dude is just utterly over Sasquatch, and his highly logical mind can't reconcile hanging out on the board if he doesn't plan on ever going to the festival again.

...unlike 20% of our regulars, who haven't been to Sasquatch since 2008.

I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, but has anyone noticed that newjersey hasn't been back since his 999th post? He threatened to leave after his 1000th, but apparently he skipped town early.

I did notice that. It seems equally likely that he'll either come back with a mind-melting 1000th post or else never come back at all. Either way, I'm pretty sure he's done.

newjersey was a funny dude and one of our better posters, but I'll be honest I was a little weirded out that he was lurking in the vicinity of the group for probably a good long time at Sasquatch this year and he never said anything. He sent me a picture of Stormy that he took from less than five feet away in broad daylight -- it was creepy.
