Scary stuff. Glad it didn't burn, and glad you still have a job.

I did have a little chuckle at the thought of a building designed to house a giant vat of water catching fire though. A little poetic irony there.

I'm glad I didn't get electrocuted. There are so many open outlets and so much water. Real smart.

Something about this doesn't seem right. I mean, you work at a pool, the odds of water getting near an outlet are really high; shouldn't there be more safe guards in place?

Having -$30 to your name and finding out your job is cutting 75% of your hours is the worst.

The day after I bought my car, I go out at lunch to make sweet love to it and some fucktard had scraped all along the side of it. Someone else left a note letting me know who had done it. Fucking shit sucks. I hope insurance doesn't ding you...

In a hit and run, your insurance will waive the deductible. Sadly I know this because I had almost the exact same thing as Shax described happen to me about 4 years ago.

I think (at least for my insurance) they only do this if you report it within 48h or something.

Here's a crazy hit and run story.

My brother got completely rear ended at a light a few years ago. He got out of the car and went to exchange insurance info with the van who hit him. There was a lady, a man, and a kid in the van. He said that the lady began yelling at him and telling him that it was all somehow his fault and that she shouldn't have to pay for anything. He said the dude looked super intimidating and began telling him to forget this even happened. My brother told them he was going to call the police if they didn't want to exchange insurance info. When they didn't reply he began calling the police to which the man in the van said, "Are seriously calling the police right now bro? Well fuck this I gotta get outta here then!". So he made his exit and my brother relayed to the cops the situation when all of a sudden the lady started up her van. My brother told the cop that the lady might be trying to flee. The cop said "Stop her!". My brother's like, "Stop her how?". The cop recommended to stand in front of the vehicle, which seems to me like a bad cop recommendation but anyhow. He does this and she full on drives straight at him! He manages to move out of the way and jumps on the driver side running boards and is all of a suddenly hanging on to the open window with one hand, his phone with the other all the while in mid flight and having this woman spitting in his face to get him to let go. She blew across oncoming traffic and gunned the van through a gas station which caused so much poops that my brother fell off the van.

Later that night the police asked my brother to go to the gas station and see if they had any security footage of this entire shit show. My brother said he walked into the gas station and immediately a skinny 18 year old employee greets him with, "Holy shit you were like Jean Claude Van Damme earlier today!".
