It's just not a great venue for shows. I'm sure it'll be fine though. Maybe they'll open up more than one hall....

Pretty much.

Which is why it's strange boarders actually want to meet you. It just goes to show, a couple hundred forgetful posts mixed with a recurring pity party, and people will want to be your friend, even if you don't have a redeeming quality.

I think my brain must be broken, because everything Pretty Lights produces makes me want to dance like a maniac. High drugs or 100% sober, it doesn't matter. Plus if you are complaining about his light setup at Sasquatch, he didn't have his full rig or really even close to it because of the wind.

I like a good amount of Pretty Lights' recorded music but I thought his live set at Sasquatch was pretty boring. And the lights were a bit disappointing too, though I Dr. Garbanzoured out later that he probably didnt have the lasers because you couldn't shoot them at the hill and there are probably some rules about shooting high powered lasers off into the sky.

Are you bored or something? Why pick a Dr. Garbanzoht for no reason? Have my personal experiences while selling/buying real estate somehow offended you? I'm posting in the proper thread, aren't I? Hell I've even held off on posting much for the past month simply to let the post-sasquatch bro-fest run it's course because my life has been revolving around the perpetual kick in the pants that is selling our condo and I porpoisely didn't want to bum people out.

I do want to meet other boarders, but it has simply not worked out thus far. Feel free to hold it against me that I've got a lot of shit on the go and I haven't been going to sjows.

Still trying to convince the board you want to meet them? You live in the same podunk town as the consensus coolest guy most of us have met, and you've both been active on this board for 2.5 years. Have you met him? No. Friendly D probably lives across the street from you, assuming there is a street in that village. That's fine, I can respect that. It's only strange because most of the people who use this board as their personal psychiatrist are the most willing to meet up with the people who have lent them support. Yet you continue to maintain that you are too busy to meet boarders (repeated again in your last post), which implies that your time is more important. You have put yourself on a pedestal, but still run to the board whenever you're having a bad day. You offer nothing in return. It's like taking a dump in someones living room, and not sticking around to help clean it up.

This hypocrisy reached exponential levels when you literally refused to add Drew as a friend on Facebook, which is about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It's like George Clooney asking a homeless guy to join him for dinner and drinks, and the transient refusing because he dislikes movies. It's clear you think people on the internet are weirdos, and will do anything to avoid meeting them. The irony is, you define the phrase "internet weirdo," and give the rest of us who are intelligent/witty/humorous/interesting a bad name. You cry to us for support, but are so concerned about your image in the eyes of your three friends, that you pretend this collection of people much cooler than yourself don't exist IRL.

However, it was kind of you to allow us our month long "bro-fest" before you came back to "bum us out."

Top five most bro boarders, GO!

Statement retracted as I clearly can't read more than 3 sentances on Wikipedia.

I've never called anybody an internet weirdo. Also, I've never refused to meet anybody. It's not like I'm porpoisely ducking people because I think I'm better than them or my time is more valuable. I simply have other shit on the go, and I've explained that to FD when he has invited me out before. Just because I'm not able to drop everything and drive across the country 3x /yr doesn't mean I don't respect and cherish the people and personalities of this board (the ones who don't constantly try to get under peoples skin anyway).

I think I have a pretty good rapport with people here. Hell, one boarder even donated to a charity I was fundraising for. Whenever I was busking I let Souly/FD/Sarah know where and when because they were in town. I don't hold it against them that they had other things on the go, just as I'm sure they aren't sitting around seething because I haven't been able to make it to a show.

The only person who seems to have a problem with me is you. The funny thing is that you're pissed at me on behalf of people who, to my knowledge, aren't even pissed at me. Get a hobby or something.

Oh, and I have no problem with internet people. I am one, I'm marrying one, and one of my best friends is one. I've met literally dozens of people who I first talked to online.

So I don't add people to Facebook who I haven't met. Is that a crime? I have family and work contacts on there and I think it's pretty understandable to keep that at least somewhat separate. I'm still able to converse with Drew on Facebook, and he has never said it's an issue.

but hey, I'm just an unintelligent, unfunny, internet wierdo transient who lives in a 'podunk village' and whines all day long.

So, Alex. You should get drinks during the weekend of the 19th with Souly, FD, also possible Womp & Sarah, and I.

I'll see what I can do. I know I'll be out of town either that weekend or the 28th, so no promises but I'll try.

I dig Alex. I appreciate his input into this community. If I had the issues with my house that he had I would likely come here to vent. It's general chat, in a thread about shitty things that happen to us day to day. What does him not meeting anyone have to do with anything? I don't get it.

I've got absolutely nothing against you Wonk, but I just don't understand where your coming from on this one. I haven't been keeping up with many threads, so I might have missed where this all got started but I see no issue.
