Wow. What was he like? Our ferrets were named Audrey and Cooper after those characters.

Whuuuuut...

Okay so Log Lady is officially cooler than all of us.

Dark Night of the Soul is EXCELLENT. Just made it hurt that much more when Mark Linkous killed himself a couple years ago. It occurs to me that I haven't listened to that in a little while; I'd better dig it out.

David is the nicest man, ever! He says things like "gee whiz!" and "let a smile be your umbrella!" and is so polite to everyone. He gets very nervous when it comes to public speaking and fidgets before he has to go in front of a crowd. He meditates everyday and attributes much of his creativity to that. He's been doing it since the days of Twin Peaks. :) I think Dark Night of the Soul is such a beautiful collaboration.

Haha, should we start a David Lynch thread so people coming here looking for Sasquatch food tips don't get confused? Speaking of food/damn fine coffee, I will reiterate once more: the AEROPRESS! I'm definitely bringing mine to the festival.

Haha, yeah most of us don't worry too much about going off topic but we've taken a pretty huge leap off the track here so maybe I'll do that.

Man, we loaned our Gold Box to a friend like six months after we got it and then had a kind of falling out, and now I want it back.

Dude has my first edition of Everything is Illuminated, too. I need to make a phone call.

When I was 14 me and a friend made a short film that basically pilfered Twin Peaks, it was called "Red Ball" and ended with my friend playing chess with the devil (me) in my Baba's basement which had a blood red floor while White Zombie's "Blood, Milk, and Sky" (remix) played.

This particular Red Room scene had my friend dressed like agent Cooper (in my grandpa's best FBI suit) and had him slide his pawn over to the devil's side of the chess board which... get this... was all pawns! Then a person in a Zebra jacket walks over and whispers a secret into his ear.

It freaked my teachers out, especially since we also show a scene where my friend strangles my little brother to death in a bathroom stall. My brother was 8 at the time.

The story was about how if one seeks for the world to know they are great, like making chess board deals with the devil (y'know!), they will end up killing what was supposed to make them great.

The funny thing is that we filmed this AMAZING WORK OF ART in an old Convent and had to first get permission to do so by the entrusted care taker who was a billion years old. Had we filmed our meeting with him it would've actually made David Lynch stand up and take notice. That man was so weird. He seriously asked if we could sing the story synopsis to him. So we did. He clapped for almost 5 minutes and then asked how we knew how to strangle someone to death. We said we didn't, but had a good enough idea on how to make it look real. He said he could ask us if we wanted, and then laughed very loudly. He then took us out to the Convent and lead us to the boiler room and told us that there were underground tunnels throughout the building and that perhaps we could incorporate them into the movie and then said, and I shit you not, "if I were to ever strangle a little boy I imagine I would do it here". I think I saw his eyes glow.

We filmed the thing a week later and the day after we finished that crazy old man was found dead.
