Hey kids, it's me. I bet you thought that I was dead. But when I fell over I just broke my leg and got a hemorrhage in my head!

A few friends and I are thinking about spending New Year's Eve in Portland this year and are looking for suggestions. I've never really been there before and have a list of things to do a mile long, but what we are looking for are the more NYE specific events. What goes on in town for welcoming the new year? What hotels/neighborhoods are best to stay in? When does the third season of Portlandia come out?

And any all suggestions are welcome!

Oh yeah I was going to comment on this but forgot. I am sure downtown is crazy happening on New Years, but I never celebrate down there. I actually kind of hate being downtown, but that is just me. I am sure that any strip with bars will be full of revelers. We normally just stay in our own hood and hang out with friends.

Portlandia is a cruel joke that has caused even more people to move here and think they can get a job or something, which at this point they can't.
