davers is exactly right. I still think we should prove this experimentally, though.

The Occupiers are planning on shutting down Max (Portland's train portion of public transit) tomorrow morning by protesting on the Steel Bridge. The Steel Bridge is the central point for all trains going east and west from downtown. I guess making people late for work is their goal.

I think the Occupy movement is on the brink of complete fucking failure.

Making people late for work is pretty much what they did when they were occupying those parks downtown -- which, by the way, currently look like the sandbox of a thirteen-foot-tall five year old with a spastic colon.
The occupy movement is waaaay past the brink of failure. It is at the point of being pathetic.

I'm enjoying the fact that the only reason the Occupation is continuing here is because they set up on property that a development company bought on spec and are actively trying to sell for a HUGE profit.
It's all very amusing to me.

By the way, if you're pregnant or 84 years old, don't fucking stand in the middle of one of Seattle's busiest downtown intersections with a large group of people and refuse to disperse UNLESS you want to get pepper sprayed.
Give me a fucking break. The media is drooling over this one...

I was recently in a room filled with people on every end of the political spectrum, and one thing everyone agree with was, "they are finally kicking the protestors out, it's about time." What seems to have happened is that it went from a group of people who support a movement to the homeless community sleeping at the occupy event because the supporters give them sandwiches and smoke them out. I wonder what percent of who was left even strongly supported the cause?

It is too bad that it turned into such a mess. But I don't blame the homeless people for going there and getting food and shelter. One of my big problems is with people who are just going to blame the police for anything and every thing. I am not a huge fan of the police, and I know certain people were out of line and committed terrible acts. But not all of them. This girl I know was yelling on Facebook about how two dogs were killed in the cleanup of Occupy Portland when they took backhoes to the parks. She was outraged at the police for doing this. Well, what about the animal owners who had three days to remove their pets from danger and just didn't bother? Your fucking dogs did not ask to occupy a tent city and that is your responsibility.

OccupyBOI still going strong. We had lots of folks very concerned yesterday in regards to whether or not we would be part of the clearly planned mass evictions throughout the nation but when our legal team contacted the city, they told us were doing fine and their only concern is with anarchists lol.
If they want to use that tactic of shutting down bridges and such, that's their call. It's certainly not the sort of action we will be taking tomorrow in solidarity with OWS. We will be having a short march and then having a presence in front of city hall as a delegation goes in side to try and get the mayor to come out and discuss his interpretations of the crackdowns and the first amendment. This is the first direct action that I have been more or less central in planning so I'm excited to see how it goes!

Although when I went to the mayors office today to drop off a written requests for a dialogue, his secretary told me he was out of town all week (only after I told him I was there on behalf of occupyboi's direct action working group lol)

| The government shut down bathrooms and trash service, so, yeah, the parks turned to shit. The whole thing has been completely misrepresented by the media. the actions of a few have defined the characteristics of many. I would think that maybe you guys wouldve learned to be at least a little skeptical of corporate media. If you give a shit at all, you'll turn off your tv and go see for yourselves.

So you are protesting for your right to continue protesting.
Good work, Dr. Garbanzo.
