Oh man I love Taboo! But I am never allowed to be on the same team as HG or my brother because we know each other so well that it is unfair.

Cribbage is awesome. Haven't played since university, but I used to love it. I definitely can't remember all the quirky rules at this point, but I feel like I could pick it up again pretty quickly. "One for his knob," or whatever the hell it is!
Card games in general are fucking fantastic. I'm a big fan of Hearts but it's hard to find 3 other people who will play it with me. I play a lot of Shithead and Asshole with my friends. I learned an Israeli card game called Yaniv while traveling about a year ago. It's pretty simple, and very addictive. Anyone else heard of it? Apparently it's very popular in, well, Israel.
For you Rummy fans out there: have you ever played Canasta? It's like Rummy, but with two decks, and it's on crack. I highly recommend it. I played a lot in high school and wish I could remember all the rules. The main thing I remember is that, as the dealer, if you pick up the exact right amount of cards to deal out to all the players then you score points even before the game has started. Point totals get huge and I remember it being really fun.
I understand Bridge is quite a good game. From what I've been told I would would really like it, but I think I'll wait until I retire to get into it. I recently learned how to play Euchre which I hear is like Bridge for idiots. I like Euchre alright but I just can't seem to remember the bowers!
Poker is a whole 'nother thing. I love it, but am only okay at it I think. I've probably broken even in my poker playing career, but I don't play very often and don't wager too much. Normally I just play with friends on a quiet weekend, but I used to play online sometimes. I haven't for a while, though. I appreciate the strategy and watch it on TV occasionally, which I know is something that some people just cannot stand.
I could go on to talk about all the non-card games I'm into, but I'll leave it be for now.

Two points for 'his nibs' when the dealer FLAMING FUCKING LIPS a jack as the upcard, 'nobs' when you have a jack that's the same suit as the upcard.
I just love cribbage so much I'll take any excuse to. My buddy and I played a best of 29 series before he moved back to montana.
